right i've got a strange issue, a few weeks ago my zed got towed home as it ran out of fuel, after the light came on 10 secs before ( genuinely ) since then some mornings she'll start up with a misfire??? but it only seems to be when the fuel is low (not quite past the empty line) and its not all the time either just sometimes, ill get to work leave her then a few hours later she starts fine ? any one got any ideas or heard of anything similar, the guys at the garage just keep telling me to get a new car...:mad2:..gits... anyway, one of them recons i should try a new set of coil packs, im thinking i could be a fuel pressure issue or a clogged filter fro…

I want to take my car to jeffs to get a few thing sorted and a few little mods. I want him to fit a Na diff. one piece prop and my lightend pullys. If it worth fitting a lightend fly wheel?? I have heard that you lose torque and some lads said on facebook z32 club said they wished they never did it, when they change gear ect the rev drop really quick and make it horrible to drive?? Is it going to be woth the £500+ to get it done and will i notice it with the other mods??

With all my contacts i cant seem to find anywhere that does decat pipes for the shorties. From what i know downpipes and backboxes are the same for SWB and LWB but it all gets a bit different for decats. Also LWB has the X pipe bit in it to make up the extra length. So are the decats for LWB and SWB the same or where can i get hold of decats pipes for a shorty turbo? Marty

i dont know what state the turbos are in, but they dont smoke presently. i have had a set of japspeed decats in my shed for a while now, but just the front decat not the downpipes from the turbos. so two questions first can i use these are or they for an n/a? second shouldi use them or am i asking for trouble, i think the cats are a bit restrictive at prestent. so whats the vote? i dont wanna have to recon the tubs as im on a budjet and it would be a pain in the ass pulling the block.

My reverse lights no longer work for some unknown reason... No voltage at the holders, bulbs are fine. Used the search function and found some pre-historic thread about wether a zed can outrun a police chopper.. Had a look at the wiring diagram and my brain turned to mush... Is there any easy connections i can check? Any help appreciated, thanks.

Now i have the car drivable :-), i have no ps at all. I have deleted the hicas and have replaced the fluid TT pot with a N/A pot and blanked off the side hose on my tt pump. The top hose runs along the pump and down to the subframe. The rear hoseline is to the pot The side of the pump went to the hicas and is now blanked off. Has anyone done a hicas delete keeping the tt pump? If so have you any pics/diagrams of how you replumbed yours please.

any one know what fuse it is for the interior light ,ive checked the light holder its self and comes on when it has 12volts to it ,ive not check the supply to the light but im guessing its a fuse ,everything else works fine anyone had the same problem

Please can somebody explain to me the difference between skyline r32 coilovers and z32 tt coilovers. I believe the rear are the same but what exactly is the difference with the fronts and can they be adapted easily to fit? Thanks

ok I'm having serious issues with my fuel filler flap for ages I have had a slight problem where I have to press the handle down once or twice recently however no matter how much I push down my flap won't open so at the moment I am having to drive with a lump hammer around in my car to put on the switch so I can get out and open the flap when I need to get some fuel has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know how to fix this problem? Are the Bose boxes different for the swb and lwb? Obviously I know the fronts are the same, but are the rears? Thanks :cool2:

Hi chaps, I'm looking for something fairly simple. I want to get some bigger better speakers in my door cards. Round, and pulled around a little to face up towards the seats (if you catch my drift) I would imagine this would be an easy job for someone in the know. Does anybody have any recommendations for someone whocould do this? I want these done asap. Reason being, i am having a full retrim - including the plastics. I would like to have the speaker mounts made so that they can be trimmed along with the rest of the interior. Thanks

The old girls going to Lee Dents next week to have the manual conversion fitted, and hope to get the Driftworks HICAS eliminator kit,Toyo intercoolers and Bailey dump valves fitted as well.Have got new handbrake and gearshift gaiters and a Nismo gearknob to go on with the manual conversion as well as a lightened flywheel and stage 3 clutch plus other bits and bobs so quite a few changes to her.would also like to change my scuttle panel and sort the vented centre panel for the front end out so going to be busy.will post some pics once its done :)

just realised cos had other stuff on.my stock oil pressure guage shows central readings on cold start up then drops as oil warms up. which is pretty normal. but once warmed up the guage seems to go to sleep . should i be worried or have i a problem elsewhere?

Having owned various 80s/90s Jap imports I actually find it a little odd the 300ZX never had a double DIN stereo as standard. I've seen pictures of people's feeble attempts at modifing the centre console to fit one. Who out there has done one they are proud of enough that they'll post up a picture..?

right im planing a plenum pull for painting iv got this far in colour's what you people think plenum n balance bar matt black(to got with the bonnet roof and boot/spoiler black fan shroud white cam cover white throttle cover or plenum n balence bar white white fan shroud black cam cover black throtle cover i realise this is a bit of a licorish allsort theme but the cars pearl white with a matt black bonnet(soon to be rest of the top half) whats your opinions? thanks
