I have been having poor starting issues for a while now and i discovered yesterday that my S2 ptu wires had found there way to the alternator belt and the green and orange wire had worn through and was touching each other. Anyway I cut and re soldered the wires thinking I would solve my poor starting problem. However i still have the same poor starting as before. My question is with the 2 wires touching could i of fryed/screwed the PTU up or is there other things that would be causing my poor starting. Thanks

Would somebody take a look at this link and tell me what they think I'm looking at secondhand clutch options here, and if this works I can get a full triple plate for less than Exedy quoted today for replacement plates http://forums.nicoclub.com/gtr-z32-transmission-comparison-t280171.html ie. RB26 OS Giken triple plate onto a Z32 TT and want to know exactly what the issues would be, I lost track reading the thread above?

Have been thinking about changing the suspesion arms etc front and rear for Driftworks kit and was wondering if this is the way to go.......or whether to fit uprated bushes in the existing (standard) suspension components?. Which would be more cost effective in terms of actual purchase price and ease of fitment? (i would imagine bush kits are cheaper, but take longer to fit). The car is for road use with maybe to odd track day (maybe) :)

Hi all, Has anyone relocated the battery to the boot? If so what guage cables did you use? I understand the longer the distance the bigger the guage should be. Also how many cables did you run to what locations etc. Thanks Dan

Anyone know the best place to purchase genuine nismo gear? I'd quite like a strengthened clutch pivot ball from a known source and also an uprated g'box mount. Anyone purchased these from a UK supplier?

after fitting my new rear lights and as phutumsch pointed out the center panel looks a little out of place with the style of the rest so what im thinking about is can you get a plain fibre glass middle section? if so id like to mod it to have these in it in the same places as they are on the standard panel then have a blacked out oval recessed section where the 300zx is on the standard panel that lights up with 300zx when the lights are on. does that sound stupid? should i just stick with the standard one?

well after spending 4yrs and almost 17k on my zed its time to hang the coat up and call it a day. In the last mon ive fitted 2engines in it and both have been no good. Unfortunatley now ive not got the time or money left to redo it all again. So will be taking it back out this weekend and start stripping the car. In the past ive had a house broken into and burnt to the ground and that was nowhere near as upsetting as this decision has made me. So watch out as the parts start coming up for offers.

On my way to the station the car stalled at a junction (does this when it is very cold) but would not start again. I think it has something to do with the fuel pump as I cannot hear it activating when I turn the ignition. I am hoping it is a fuse or relay but if it is the pump whereabouts is it and is it easy to replace?

Following on from this thread the other day started by Jaikai, I thought I would do something about it:thumbup1: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=157619 I do have 2 of the Nissan Altia reverse light panels here to do and it was always a plan of mine to put one, in the OEM green, on my car, but I am now going to stick with what I have done as I quite like, here are some pics - enjoy..... Firstly, this is what lights up when I put the lights on Lights still on along with my led Zedwizz reverse lights, fully recommended by the way. Next with the fogs on as well, these don't appear red but I assure you they are. You can just see t…

There has been over the years a growth of dedicated trade and non trade supply of used zed parts been sold in the main by ebay traders. As is often the case the actual success of ebay has also seen the thinning out of trade there as more and more vie for the decreasing number of buyers for zed parts, the decreasing numbers has many reasons and in no small way due to the many zeds been broken, supplying the market with an almost glut of parts. We have been in this market for over 10 years, as a business we did not use ebay as a portal for our parts sales, in part because we did not need to and partly because we have our own trader section here at the very heart o…

Now this is purely hyperthetical (yet again) but I think that it's fair to say that the biggest issue that the zed has during any prolonged period on track, is cooling.... well I've just been looking at a few other builds (non zed); some in the UK and some in the US, across a wide variety of track focused builds and a lot of modifiers and tuners seem to be opting to re-locate the rad to the rear of the vehicle in thoery it seems like a decent idea, and the number of pro spec cars that have adopted it as a setup proves that it does work as long as the right ducting and aero is in place to supply and extract the moving air efficiently now here'…

:smartass: needed . .i have a tt auto jdm. 1990. also just broke na jdm1994. i've had to use complete suspension, hubs etc for the tt as most it was well worn and neediing attention. but i've found the offset on the na disks are different to the tt. so is it for reasons to do with the power...or is it because they made changes on the later models. ?????? will the na 94 brake set up do for now?
