Got half a day yesterday to finally fix the mess the auto electrician made when fitting my new clocks.. God it was cold..... The amount of clips and screws that were missing amazed me. If even got some pods from Kinugawa Turbo the K*** even managed to crack. However all back in place and tight now. Everything now works, but the petrol gauge is showing qtr of a tank more than the old gauge. I would assume this is due to the memory. Any way of resetting this of changing it to reflect the value of my tank? The temp gauge now reads permanently hot. I have to assume its this gauge that is faulty as had no problems previously. have to get the switches back out f…

I know there is alot of info on the site regarding plugs but I still have questions The standard spark plug heat rating for the TT is 6 right? When you increase boost pressure along with adequate fuelling you increase BHP. The purpose of a colder rated plug being to remove the extra heat created by the higher performance from the cylinder quicker right? So at what increase in boost/bhp do you move up to 7/8/9 etc? From what i've seen there are three options of manufacturer: NGK, which seem to be the most commonly used by Z32 owners - HKS, which are bloody expensive - Denso, that i've been told make alot of HKS plugs but are alot cheaper and have a different…

Right folks, done a bit of searching and it appears my o/s/f creak is from the upper link.every other car I have had has had standard macpherson strut suspension, not multilink like the zed. How easy is it to remove the top link to clean it/lube it ?, do I have to remove the shock etc?.hoping to replace all the suspension arms with driftworks kit soon, but the creaking is doing my head in!!!.......any advice guys?

I've been advised by a local clutch specialist that the thrust bearing that was used previously with my Exedy twin plate clutch was most likely too big for the clutch, resulting in it literally melting the top set of 'fingers' and fusing the metal to the lower set. The ID of the area that was worn away was about 10mm+ larger than the ID of the hole in the centre of the clutch 'fingers'. Could anybody tell me, is there a specific thrust bearing that is supposed to be used with the Exedy twin plate clutch, and if so is it slightly smaller than stock? thanks

Stemming from a conversation the other day I was just wondering what the effects (+ or -) would be if you removed the stock recirc valves and ran a single bov setup (obviously with custom pipework/'T' pieces etc connecting it all up in some way) rather than the usual setup of two individual bov's. ****Please, please, please no "I don't see the point" or "Bov's are the spawn of satan" comments**** I'm just asking the question out of curiosity and looking at possible solutions that may work in theory cheers

Ok, while Alex CAN'T get online to argue the point, lets settle a stupid argument we've been having lol :) On any other car Ive ever had that has had a push button key release, its always been more finished than this (see piccy I putterupperered) Alex (Hollowpoint) will argue forever that "it cannot have a plastic piece that goes around this button, never had one, never seen a zed with one" It's glaringly obvious that the insert and notches are not there by design and there is a bit missing!!! :detective: Does ANYONE actually still have that bit, or are they pointless to replace. Meanwhile, am off to go tidy it up before it's good enough to …

Just saw another one of those illuminated 300zx panels go for a cracking price again on eBay! Just wondered if it would be illegal or not to illuminate the panel along with the brakes as that would be cool ! As long as its a red one mind.
