A z i've stripped today for gearbox etc, just so happens to have had uprated suspension. it looks pretty new which is good. they're sustec ,tanabe street gas filled shocks plus springs.not adjustable. i will be using these for my z as mine are very tired [like me!] so anyway i was wondering does anyone know anything about them? please.

when I get to 4500 revs and I expect him to launch, I lose power. It feels like I've hit a rev limiter. Turbo problem?? Also, can I use INPA or similar on my zed?

Got a new one to replace the worn, following the write ups on here of how to remove, http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=92607&highlight=outer+ball+joint i have ground down the bit that used to attach to the hicas arm, and removed the small collar to enable me to whack it through with a socket towards the strut, i have tried a blow torch to heat the hub casing, dont want to hit it with a hammer as its alloy. Bearing in mind its probably been on there since the zed was made, 17 years now............. its toit, toit like a tiger.......... Its now soaking overnight in some plus gas in a plastic bag with a rubber band to seal. Any ideas before i get th…

As some of you know I'm restoring a UK 300zx to original, the car has 45k on it with a full Nissan service history and all paper work to back this up, the cars never been crashed or abused as I know all the previous owners As well. The only none standard parts are the exhausts which is a full stainless system I also have the original system. What's the car worth to sell full done with a pro paint job as well to the standard black it came out of the showroom with? The reason I ask this is not to sell but how much to spend on paint and prep, I have a decision to make!!! Thanks, Daz.

I'm moving to Northampton (got a job there!). I don't know the area at all. Can anyone recommend a garage who would be ok to work on my Zed please? It doesn't have to be a specialits or anything like that, just somewhere competent. One place I took it to in Peterborough for a service changed the spark plugs - but they didn't need changing, they only did four of six and put wrong ones in! That's why I'm after a recommendation for somewhere in / near Northampton please.

I can hear it when I'm driving at low speed. A sort of fluttery, squeaky, creaky noise when the car goes over a bump or any uneven surface. It's coming from near the front passenger side wheel. If I push down on the arch I can hear the same noise a bit. I guess it's a bush or a bearing or something in the linakge? Is there a common problem I should check for? I guess the first thing is to take the wheel off and have a look? Thanks in advance!

Hi, Hi does anyone know the diameter of the pipework to the throttle bodys? I cant remember if its 50mm 65mm. Im going to buy silicone T pieces so i can install a balance pipe. Also has anyone also installed reducers since installing the Z1s larger throttle bodies? If so what diameter did you use as the stock hoses are very hard to put on. These are the pipes im talking about: http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_18&products_id=3377 T pieces http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Silicone-pipe-T-piece-tube-take-off-induction-51mm-BLUE-/120545045954?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c110b6dc2 Thanks Dan

someone on another thread put up a site in japan, that has the beets abflug kit ive dreamed of, changed the currency to GBP and its coming in at just shy of 3k, ok add on import tax and fitting and spraying probably looking at around 5k - 6k in total. Just wonder how much modifications to the original body work would be required to get it on the car. as mine needs the drivers sill welding before the next MOT, was wondering if it might be an idea to get that done, while i save for the kit and get that put on once all repair work has been done. that way i can get the spray job done at the same time as fitting, would just mean id have to drive around with a half complet…
