Hi, Started the car and left it running for 5 mins or so, got in and could smell petrol pretty strong, poped the bonnet and could smell it on the drivers side, can not see a leak. Any common problems with a uk TT zed? car has always ran rich since getting it, wonder if thats part of the problem. cheers mark.

does anybody have pics or diagrams of zx tt automatic jap radiators and what the various stabbings are for, reason i ask is i have just received my new radiator from hollowpoint ( thankyou ) and it seems to have two small diameter additional stabbings ( steel tube) on the drivers side if that makes sense, in addition to the two i was expecting on the passenger side which is where i know the auto box cooler pipes attach, thanks Neil

Hi guys, HAPPY CHRISTMAS.. Had a strange backfire on my car, Which had another thread, Cut the long story short, blip the throttle to 2100rpm in neutral and soon as the revs start falling i get a backfire and quite loud too. Been through everything on the bloody car, today fitted ngk plugs and 6 coils, and still the same, Changed ECU, PTU, CAS, AIRFLOW METER, 6 COILS AND SPARK PLUGS, TPS CHANGED and set to 0.45v, CHANGED COIL PACK RELAY, FUEL PUMP RELAY AND ECU, Checked timing and set to 15btdc, even took cambelt off to make sure aligned properly, Checked for air leaks and perfect, Checked ohms on injectors, checked an…

The wayward rear end of this particular zed caught the owners attention and he knew something was wrong. The very corroded subframe was removed as can be seen by the pictures the o/s lower suspension arm was not connected anymore to the subframe at the rear most fixing point. The level of corrossion was sever on the whole assembly, so it was concidered the most effective repair was to change the lot wholesale, not a particular tricky job ( with ramps etc ) but a bit long winded. A suitable donor was removed from a breaker and once fitted all was as it should be. Jeff TT

so, can you change the recirc valves with the front bumper on the car? as ive got the bloody annoying goose honk when hitting boost. As most are aware one of the last owners had the front bumper blended into wings which inturn are blended into the side skirts, so taking the front bumper off is not going to be possible :( Im still in safety boost as well for some strange reason even though ive got no codes showing in consultz, though im yet to wire up my Profec B spec 2 as im missing some 6mm boost hose.

this is the second time ive posted about this, 5 zeds and some of the most shocking and downrightly strange electric butchery of all 5 of them? seriously i cant understand it? Just tried to fix my non intermittent wiper issue with the control module that Jeff sent me that arrived today, and to say the wires to the control module were butchered is no exaggeration and im surprised that they even work, spliced wires for no apparent reason, a earth cable that likes to spark even with the ignition off using one of the bolts the modules bracket bolts to the car with that disappears somewhere for no apparent reason and no apparent use? its not part of my dials, cluster or …

Finally got round to fitting my Inner HICAS ball joints last night. (Jeff's Guide in the How too section was definitely worth the read) But when trying to change the outer ball joints afterwards the old one wouldn't budge. Is there an easy way of getting them out or is it just a case of removing the strut and hub and smashing it with a hammer? I tried using heat and a make shift press but it only moved a matter of millimetres, and then even after getting a pry bar behind the bottom lip could still then only get it to move another mill. ended up just boshing it back together and going home. Turns out the plays disappeared altogether now so hey ho.

I´m ready to put some BC Coilovers suspensions to my Z; good friend of mine is going to install them 4 me, but he wrote me this evening this: **Hey I just thought of something unless you change the Camber arms on your suspension, when you lower it will wear the inner part of the tires and will handle like shit.** Wanted to ask the experts around here is this true? I mean I ain´t doubting on his word, but what would happen if I just install the BC without the Camber arms? Merry Xmas!

Hi guys, Got these wheels on my zed, the silver rim part is fake its a type of tin stuck over the actual wheel, I have a few scuffs on these parts, so spoke to spit and polish {wheel refurb company next door to where i use to work} They said pull the tin parts off and they will powder coat the black part again, and machine the silver part back into the actual wheel and said it will look like a cd face, Which sounds good, so pulled off the tin parts today and they are just black for the minute and look better with no scuffs. But the bit i need help with is they have allen key bolts all round, and they are fake (plastic) and i take it they will need remov…

I'd like your views on this if I could please. Stemming from a recent conversation I've been racking my brain for inspiration for a wide'ish body conversion for the shortie' but I'm really not a fan of 99% of what's currently available (ie. Strosek/copy of Strosek/copy of a copied Strosek etc). I spent most of '07 through until '10 looking and didn't really find anything that I truly liked Mission in Japan do a nice kit as do Final Konnexion, but they don't cater for the SWB. Now I loved the look of my FD (in sig pic) despite all the heartache that came with it, so was thinking about the possibility of paying for a custom one off wide'ish (about 20mm -…

Hi Guys. I have the following wheels on my car. I like these because they are different. However the back one has developed a crack as shown below. Ive taken them to Romax in Stockton. Hes been around for years and has a good reputation. However he said he cannot repair these spilt rims, there may be a specialist who can though. Questions are, has anybody got any of these lying around to buy or does anybody know of a specialist that can repair them.. If not Ive already decided I want a set of 5 spoke black wheels with a polished rim.. Cheers Kev
