Anyone know if it is possible to change the manifold on a TT when the plenum is off? (tube to and from turbo also removed ofcourse)

Tomorrow I'm replacing the single Blitz air filter that's on the shortie' with a HKS twin induction setup and I'll admit that I'm tempted to fit the Stillen front bumper and Greddy 3 row fmic off the LWB whilst I'm at it. I believe it's still running stock turbos with nothing more (that I can see) than aftermarket downpipes, decat straight through exhaust. It pulls like no other TT zed that I've driven so they might not be stock turbos?? If they are stock tubs that are fitted, what detremental effects could I expect to see from fitting a big fmic whilst still running stock turbos (increased lag etc)? Thought some may want this wiring diagram i found today, full colour and covers ecu loom, and harness that runs around front of car, gearbox, lights, relay box etc. http://www.karljapetre.com/z/ecu/eccs-color.gif Perhaps mods may want to sticky it somewhere?

has anyone got a diagram of where all the oil hoses go please??. Ive done most of them, but theres one from back of sump on cdrivers side that i need to see where it goes too. The turbo return hoses are connected, as are the feed hoses, but im still left with one on sump thats not connected.

Does the manual have a smaller foot rest than the auto? I can't get my foot on it now as my foot catches on the clutch peddle :wacko:

i am hoping to plumb in an additional auto box cooler , that is one mounted in the front nose area in addition to the standard one fitted within the radiator, question is , should i , and does anybody know which way round the feed and return pipes are on the rad , in essence im hoping to feed from the box to the rad out of the rad into the cooler then back to box, i am planning on using a cooler from a v12 xjs shaguar any comments , thoughts or advice ????

On my way home tonight the ambient temp dropped from 1 to -21 im guessing is i dont have frostbite its a faulty wire / sensor. Can anyone tell me do i need to remove the front bumber to get to it or can i do it with the bumber in situe?/ Cheers James

The Z hasn't really been started for about a week and not really driven for about 2, I fitted the new painted viscous fan today and after a minute or so of running, some white steam/smoke appears at the back of the engine, around the brake cylinder area. It isn't very thick, but progressively gets more and more as the car continues to run. The logical thing to me of course would be steam, as I did put it away hot last time and it's been bloody freezing since, so I'm thinking condensation in some depression on top of the manifolds or something, but the questions I have are: 1. why does it smell smokey 2. why would it only be on one side of the engine and not …

Hi, I know a couple of members were working on these transplants (Friday, JohnDixon). After watching a couple of John's videos on YouTube I was curious as to how much one of the afore mentioned engines cost and who imports them? Am interested to see whether it is feasible for me to even consider this (for a future project) or whether the costs would be too much. So, any info/links would be great. Many thanks. John

It was my favourite 300 before i got mine. Saw it at JAE 2006 (i think, although i dont think it was at billing). Anyway, i cant remember his name and its doing my head in and ive searched for ages on here. It had a paint job like tizers blue snake skin effect?? but it was redish at the front and faded to black at the back. Huge wing on the back, maybe 4 or 6 pot rear lights, shark front bumper and it just looked awesome. Anyone know what im talking about and point me in the right direction of some pics? Thanks

Thought i'd post up a pic of my latest build ! - Not a zed but rather a downhill mountain bike. After finally getting the parts for the headset, stem and handlebars, i stripped the old frame for bits. Not decided if i'll cut down the forks steering tube or just use spacers to make up the gap also need to cut down the handlebars as you can see below there a bit extreme Not fitted the bottom bracket, chainset or rear shifter yet as not totally decided what setup to go for. More than likely go for a single ring front wish bash guard and transplant my old shimano xtr back mech to this one. few hundred still to go on it cash wise…

Now that im close to finishing the zx, i've been ringing round for quotes. Ive told them of all mods to car as i want it to be covered properly and all im getting is brick doors. So my question is..... HOW the feck do you all get yours soo cheap????. Am i doing somethingcwrong when being honest about the car?. Im 34 and have nearly 7yrs ncb. The z is a uk manual tt. I valued it at 4k, which i feel in todays market is a fair value. Am i under valueing my car maybe compared to the mods made. have been told that i need new steering arms all round just wondering what would be the best way to go about them either upgrade where possible or the best place to get them from

looking for some advice, i am having a set of 17" wheels refurbed but not sure what to do about colour , my car is a TK3 blue any ideas ??????, the wheels in question look like alfa teledials.and i dont want to look a bigger muppet than i allready do driving down the road, nor do i want to be chavtastic, so sensible ideas and suggestions only
