Iknow the chip will be much cheaper that proper remap but does it make bid difference ? Remap will cost more than £300, chip is just under £100 so what is better?

Would I be right in thinking that to get rid of the aircon I can simply remove the aircon compressor and belt and the associated pipework, and leave everything behind the dash in place........or is there more to it than that? Any advice would be appreciated :)

The old girl did me proud and passed with flying colours today. Well chuffed as there is always that niggling thought that a horror story will be uncovered. Time to get the waxoyl out before winter sets in, even though I try not to drive it when it's wet/gritted. Drop the front a few more mm and get a four wheel alignment done. :cool3:

Well, I didnt get to the post office today to see if my chrome rings turned up so can finish my dials but I've had this job half done for ages. I'm finally getting on with it :) I'm sure Halfrauds cocked up the grey mix as it looks darker than the other did but it won't matter once the silvering is on there... will be done within the next few hours :)

I don't post very often and there's not too many female Z drivers I guess. But I wonder those who are, whether you share the same experience as me? We were in convoy, me and TonyB (my better half!) travelling south to the Z World Bash (thanks Jeff and Linda, it was brilliant!). I've told Tony how this happens to a female driving on her own, but he still needs to see it to truly understand how it works. And yes, it did happen a couple of times to me. Now before we go any further, I'm not paranoid! I've been told more than once how this game works, mainly by those who drive white vans for a living ... sorry any of you on here! Guys who drive BMWs also play the sam…

A very tidy red zed, which I think was an import on a K plate, coming down the ramp onto level E in the Galleries car park in Bristol Broadmead, heading to the exit. Was a male driver with female passenger, had black multispoke alloys and crystal rear light clusters and a lip spoiler. Looked very smart! I exclaimed to the girl who I was with at the time that I owned one of them, she said that it looked damn sexy. Which, of course, I wholeheartedly agreed with :)

As the title says really, the car has the HICAS lockout bar in place, but I'm not convinced it's definitely adjusted right. Mikey did have it up on ramps to check the tracking, but the Kwik Fit he was working at, at the time, didn't have the 4 wheel alignment stuff, so we kinda had to guess and bodge it as best we could. I've just bought some adjustable top arms for the rear from ZX-TT, and plan to buy the rest of the adjustable suspension bits for both front and rear in the coming months, at which point, it's going to need a full geo setup with the help of lasers. I know the Kwik Fit Mikey is at now has the 4 wheel tracking alignment tools, but I'm doubting it supp…

So for the last few days this has been happening, but only yesterday we realised it's intermittent. We originally noticed that the outside, drivers side tail light bulb was out, but then on the way home from ZedWorld it fixed itself, now today, everytime I brake, my "LIGHTS" warning light comes on, I haven't actually had a chance to check which bulb appears to be out obviously, as I've been driving it, but I did verify when backing into the garage, that there was an increase in red light behind the car when pressing the brake pedal (i.e. not ALL bulbs are out) and the "LIGHTS" light still came on. Any known issues that cause this? Or am I just looking for a dodgy con…

What a wicked day yesterday and in a major parts made by you guys and gals because whatever we do it comes to nothing if nobody attends so a big thanks from all at Zedworld to you, and whilst on the back slapping subject I personally would like to thank my “team” the kids first Jamie and Danni for their sterling work ensuring tech question and sales were dealt with and the drinks and food were served to all., and of course Lynda who with her super culinary skills keeping the masses fed. Lynda for JAE 2012 catering eh? ( Vote now !) So some pics for those who were unable to attend, I started at the bottom end of the line of zeds and walked backwards taking a …

Hi people im new here..... on friday i went up to newcastle to buy a generator off a fella to get there and he has a v8 audi and a 300zx swb 2 seater on the drive.... ive always wanted a 300zx but i dont really know their value... this one had been de-turbo'd, fabric interior, needed a new rear passenger wing and some attention to the driver side inner sill.... it had a full stainless exhaust on it... sounded beautiful..! how much do you think a 300zx would be worth in this condition..? Thanks Jono

On behalf of the club, I would like to thank Jeff, Lynda and Jamie for putting on a great bash today!! It was a really good gathering, Lynda (as ever) did a superb job with the catering and the whole day went really well. It was good to meet some old freinds and some new faces too - it's always good to meet everyone in person after many days/months/years of chatting online..... Top job Zedworld..!! Richard:thumbup:

Finally, on my second attempt finished my illuminated centre panel and got it fitted. may not be the best specimen but its on and it works. Got round to doing the fuel pump ecu modulator, wasn't as bad a job as i was expecting, here's what i found on the old one. Top right pin a little black and burned, and the connector in the plug didn't look to healthy either, it still gives a good connection after a clean up though. tested the resistance to one of the other pins so convinced the cable is ok. Took the old ecu apart to see what it looked like inside and to be honest it didn't look that bad, i was expecting a nasty smell and loads of black s…
