have just spent a productive hour and a half removing half a ton of white silicon sealer( not a good look on a black car!!!) from under my drivers side targa, cleaned it all up and lubed the wind deflector thingy so its all nice and free and poured some penertrating oil down the drain hole (figured it would be better than water if hose was disconnected ;) ), and it came out the bottom as it should, just behind the front wheel. did the same on the passenger side (no sealer this time), poured the penetrating oil down, but no sign of it underneath!. i know the drivers side is a pain to do but what about the passenger side???, how easy is it to get to the end of the …

So after about 9 or 10 days to strip it down, the shell was finally ready to go on Friday night. Our local friendly scrap dealer (Lives 2 doors down) was given the task of taking it to the crusher and this morning he picked it up. Rose got a few pics and a couple of videos, here are the pics, the videos will take a little longer as I need to cut them down and upload them to youtube, but they will be coming.

Back in 1991, half way through this, a VERY young Clarkson (A fully confessed Ferrari nut) admits that the Nissan 300zx is a better and faster car than the Ferrari 348B GT and moreover the only reason to buy the 348 instead, is because it's a Ferrari!

So I know they're Lenso's, but I don't know which model they are. Anyone got a clue? Before anyone says it, yes they are in desperate need of a refurb, Rose will be doing that when we find some spares.

well me and the ADL guys had a bit of a dyno shootout at surrey rolling road today... im a bit disappointed with what my zed ran however... 270.6 RWHP @0.8bar  280 ftLB torque its an auto TT, but its zedworld chipped has a full straight through exhaust and good induction kit, along with HKS plugs and a huge FMIC. i was expecting 300 at least they said it was running perfect though, so im wondering how much the auto-box is wasting... what sort of rwhp are you guys running in autos? either way its going to manual before 2012 is out, but im thinking if its new turbo time?

Hi all hoping you can help? Ok ive got a large Greddy FMIC and ive been advised a few times that i should install a balance pipe between both throttle bodies to balance the air flow before the air enters the plenum? What size diameter balance tube would be best? Im thinking of locating the balance pipe between my hard pipes leading to the throttle bodies? The pipe joiners im thinking of using only go up to 25mm will that be enough? Im not sure if anything bigger than that could be intalled on these pipes anyway. What do you think ? Thanks Dan

Not to fix my Z, but to work on someone else's! I have sorted, cleaned and packed up all my detailing kit ready for a busy morning refining the paint finish on Kaza Steve's Z ahead of it's reveal next week at the Xmas Bash. I've been looking forward to this for a while and I can't wait to see what I can do with it. I've also bought a new wax specifically for Steve's car which I intend to apply at the Xmas Bash to show you lot how I do it (apparently it's quite a sight LOL!!). I'll leave the before/after pics until after the Bash so as not to ruin any surprises ;)

I'm really struggling to re-fit the exterior pass side door handle. I can get it in place and the control rods are clipped in but each time I get it into postion to put the nuts on the back the bloody handle sticks out  I had the same problem on the drivers side but with a bit of fiddling it went in ok and works as it should. But the pass one is refusing to play ball. I can't work out why as the control rod for the latch looks as though it's in correctly. Has anyone else had this and knows what I'm doing wrong? I've been at it for over an hour and half with no joy. I'd have pulled my hair out by now, if I hadn't already done it years ago. lol
