well me and the ADL guys had a bit of a dyno shootout at surrey rolling road today... im a bit disappointed with what my zed ran however... 270.6 RWHP @0.8bar  280 ftLB torque its an auto TT, but its zedworld chipped has a full straight through exhaust and good induction kit, along with HKS plugs and a huge FMIC. i was expecting 300 at least they said it was running perfect though, so im wondering how much the auto-box is wasting... what sort of rwhp are you guys running in autos? either way its going to manual before 2012 is out, but im thinking if its new turbo time?

  2. Easy question so easy answer im talking brand new and unique never seen in UK. If you don't like cf no need to answer we don't need people just looking to make noise answering :)

  8. Started by GIBSTER-TT,

Hi all hoping you can help? Ok ive got a large Greddy FMIC and ive been advised a few times that i should install a balance pipe between both throttle bodies to balance the air flow before the air enters the plenum? What size diameter balance tube would be best? Im thinking of locating the balance pipe between my hard pipes leading to the throttle bodies? The pipe joiners im thinking of using only go up to 25mm will that be enough? Im not sure if anything bigger than that could be intalled on these pipes anyway. What do you think ? Thanks Dan

Not to fix my Z, but to work on someone else's! I have sorted, cleaned and packed up all my detailing kit ready for a busy morning refining the paint finish on Kaza Steve's Z ahead of it's reveal next week at the Xmas Bash. I've been looking forward to this for a while and I can't wait to see what I can do with it. I've also bought a new wax specifically for Steve's car which I intend to apply at the Xmas Bash to show you lot how I do it (apparently it's quite a sight LOL!!). I'll leave the before/after pics until after the Bash so as not to ruin any surprises ;)

  10. I'm really struggling to re-fit the exterior pass side door handle. I can get it in place and the control rods are clipped in but each time I get it into postion to put the nuts on the back the bloody handle sticks out  I had the same problem on the drivers side but with a bit of fiddling it went in ok and works as it should. But the pass one is refusing to play ball. I can't work out why as the control rod for the latch looks as though it's in correctly. Has anyone else had this and knows what I'm doing wrong? I've been at it for over an hour and half with no joy. I'd have pulled my hair out by now, if I hadn't already done it years ago. lol

Well, I began with the intention of just swapping the black rubber trim with those off the yellow Zed,... which has now turned into full refurb lol. The paint on them was a little poor but showed no signs of rust coming through, but as I took off the rubber strips I could see signs of rust. So I kept dismantling to the point i thought, stuff it, the metal is coming right out and getting sorted. Neither of them were leaky but when I got right down to it, I'm sure there will have been plenty of big holes in these things a few months down the line. Close up of the not too bad rust hole below on the passenger one that I've already sanded down, but the dri…

OK I know from previous experience the dip beam output on the headlights is pretty crap But to be honest the ones on this Zed seem even worse than the ones on my previous Zed. To the point where the car is no fun at all to drive after dark! In fact on a few occassions I would have to say it is downright dangerous. Half the problem seems to be the beam spends much of it's output lighting the bottom part of the light unit itself! I'm in two minds to fit these Front fibreglass headlights that Zcentre have http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=213&category_id=61&option=com_virtuemar…

Hi there, I am wondering how to reduce noise in the boot, Im thinking of putting layers of sound proofing either thin layers of insulation or carpet to dull out the noise of the HUGE exhausts.... Has anyone done anything like this or similar?? Cheers :scooter:

Ebaylink removed. LOL, what's with this guy? I love the way he thinks that slagging off the 300zx owners club will make a great impression to someone looking at the add, who will in all honesty, be an enthusiast that knows about 300zx's and not your average Joe. I instantly thought, tosser. Well that was my second thought, my first when I saw the auction for that price made me think 'L O L' I clicked on it some weeks ago and the part where it said 'don't read any further if you can not justify the cost' I closed down the browser and wiped it from my memory as recomended lol. A friend at work was talking about his old Z and I got chatting about mine and…

about a month ago (i think) i took the children and me mrs over to a friends house who i hadn't seen in ages, when i pulled onto his drive the temp gauge on my zed shot up to the redzone, i switched the engine off and could hear the water boiling and being forced into the overflow bottle. Got out of the car and looked, sure enough the overflow was emptying all over his nice clean drive. so had to get the car towed back home. When i finally got the chance to go over it, i refilled the rad and warmed the car up, she started over heating again, not rapidly but enough to know that it wasn't going to stop once it got to 100c, so i switched the engine off, and checked…
