ok guys, ive got a set of godspeed tension rods and to be honest im sure they do the job. however today i was going to start cleaning them up and thought i could do better than that so im going to. so the question is, money no object what are the best tension rods out there. so far the winner is moonface. any other suggestions? once ive found what i like and added a bit of my own design in ill make a set. might do a few other suspension bits too

I bought a Blitz AF Meter a few weeks back from Dino (japandyno) in Japan. He told me that I would need a second one as the zed usually runs two AFRs and sensors. I've not been able to find another secondhand Blitz one for decent money so when I spotted these 'Multi checkers' from APEXi and JECS I figured that I might be able to utilise them as the second AFR along with their other functions (shift light etc) I bought the JECS one from Dino and the APEXi version from another company Japan, they seem to have some pretty good functions so I snapped them up. hi ive a uk spec zed with the sideloghts in the front is it possible to convert it to jdm spec with the lights in the side and front fogs

Looks like it had been spun and damaged the off side front corner and near side rear corner looked like it was damaged, on a K plate. :-(

hey guys,took my new z to get mot'd today, omg. i dunno bout you guys but wen i sell a car im as honest as i possibly can be, the guy i swapped my bmw for sed it shouldnt need much. im learning my lesson for bein to trusting and nieve. i had to abandon the mot, it failed before he had even lifted it up, which i didnt mind, i expected it to fail, i just wanted to know where to start. but so far this is what im aware of, it needs 2x 255/35 19'' tyres due to sidewall damage, new bulbs in the headlights, although i checked them and there not blown but like a chrome colour bulb? ill just get new white ones and check the wires. the side repeaters are non standard a…

The story so far.:sweatdrop: Added Wynn's coolant flush and have clocked up a couple of hundred miles, time to drain the system and fill with 50/50 antifreeze I thought. Only problem is, every time I drop the coolant out it still froths up with the remains of flusher in it!! :taz:It must be the fourth time now and still not clear.:confused1: I have looked at draining the block but I can not see that being possible with the engine in. Even tried attaching a low pressure hose to the top engine pipe and left it running for hours and still no joy. It just seems to be only flushing the radiator. Aaaarrgh. hi all just a quick post on behalf of a mate of mine, hes got a z32 tt and its been off the road for 2-3 year sat never moved/started, we have had a few days going over it where the dogs in the lock up have chewed thought a few wires etc spend a day repairing them . today we got her running nice on tick over she ran for 30 min or so all great, then a little throttle to 2 and half grand revs and it bogs down and idea:confused1: many thanks gareth

Its totally stock SWB TT with about 15K on the clock. Im looking for the best coilover setup for SWB, can anyone give me some pointers please? Hi everyone, This week is suspension week LOL. I have a set of KYB AGX shocks with Eibach springs, DW front and rear upper camber arms and front tension rods to go on. With a 20mm drop from the shocks is this going to drastically adjust the settings from standard? I.e. do I set all the arms to standard length or can I add in a turn or 2 on the threads to get them in the ball part before going for full laser alignment? On the front camber arms do the longer side go towards the front or rear of the car. How tight should the locking nuts be on all the arms, I've seen that they can break if overtightened. a mate of mine bought a twin turbo z few weeks back,as he never drove one before he didnt realise the turbos werent kicking in at all..the stock boost clock needle dosent move,also theres a pair of dump valves an they dont work. he took it to a mechanic that works a bit with supras and the odd 300zx (not many zx specialists in ireland!)he said the consult diagnostics showed up nothing and the problem is drivers side tub seized.he also stated the other tub was working fine and boosting?i find this hard to believe since bov wasnt making noise and dosnt feel like its boosting? mechanic is trying to get out of fixing car for sum reason,ant taughts?

Hi, I'm trying to improve the low beam, I managed to clean off the projector lenses and set the height, but I can't seem to adjust them left/right which is a problem as they are way too far to the left atm. Well, bank 2 turbo decided to eat some oil, and I'm in the hunt for a replacement or recondition. I'm wondering that if I were to get some T25's or T28's would they fit directly, or is there some modification needed? If it's an oil line or something similar, it's not too much of a problem, but if a new section of exhaust is required, I can't really do that right now :( If anyone can get back to me, it would be appreciated, thanks!

Its a black jdm tt auto, has 300zx.co.uk stickers in the rear windows and was registered to a guy in burntwood,staffordshire earlier this year but appears to be from down south (surry area) as have a few receipts for work done down that way soon after it was imported in 2006.reg number is j838sdh :)

hi all right i wonder if anyone can help ive had a clicking/donking noise coming from the front left for a few days so i took the car in to my normal mechanic (not a zed specialist but a great mechanic) he tracked it down to a worn bush/ball joint but we dont know the name for it, its the big bush that goes between the brake caliper and the bottom suspension strut carrier should have taken a pic really but didnt think of it at the time. any ideas? thanks again all, Nick

spent a good few hours cleaning and polishing her today so i thoght id take some pics as this could be one of the last few nice days this year!! she actually polishes up better than i thoght shame she'll get rotten again so quick

Hello, firstly, please don't kick me too hard for asking in the forums as I'm genuinely in a bit of a conundrum here. I brought my car across when I moved to the UK some years ago. Shortly after arriving, {ahem} I basically had no points left on my license which meant that insurance for the zed was rather high. Alas, I have never registered the car in the UK. It's only had minimal miles here basically from the shipping port to my home and a few little blats here and there on 'private' roads. You may ask, why did I bother to bring it across - well because the engine and (auto) transmission (1995) are mint and fully serviced (new belts, gearbox oil etc) …

Along with a whole raft of other modifications yet to execute on my car, I am also weighing up brake options. I was leaning towards the Akebono kit from Z1 which is 1600 (with my spec of options ticked) before import costs and duty. The advantage of this kit is the availability of off-the-shelf parts (the kit uses Infinity parts available through any Nissan dealer) at reasonable prices. The disadvantage is its only a 2 pot calliper and not a true sports brake kit, so may only be a fast road setup, rather than a track friendly one. I see now Japspeed are offering reasonable prices for D2 356mm 8pot front brake kits and 330mm 4 pot rear kits - 1700 quid all in. Has any…
