hey guys, im back on the forum full time now. and so glad for it. after fighting for SO long to keep my old 93 tt 2+2 i had to sell her early this year. stupid insurance companies wanting 8k!! well i had a e36 m3 replica since, and lady luck shown me a awsome lookin 300zx N/A, ex show car. of whos owner wanted a e36 m3. so a straight swap and i am now the proud owner of a z again. and although its only a N/a, its been looked after,veilside kit, bsa 19'' rims. hsk Zorst. Ecu mapped to the balls.s14 seats.dvd etc etc. ill try get some piccies up soon, cant drive it yet tho :( , redundant, Again! soon as i find a job, ill come cruisin wid ya :D

Sure you some of your MOT guys have already seen these but we saw the new MOT certificate last week and was very surprised by the low tech look of them, in fact not just low tech but low security also, no actual official water marked paper just normal pc paper and printed using a small ministry programme....! Well i tucked away all my engine loom and instead of just patch fixing it i went hey i'll take the whole body loom that runs under the guards, shorten the heck out of it and bring it inside the car... 20 hours of work later i'm almost ready to shorten. This seemed like a good idea in my head.

Do MINES ECUs have a safety map? Reason I'm asking is that my car only seems to be devloping 5psi boost of late. If they do, I figured I'd try the 1M resistor trick to see if that sorts it before I start looking for a boost leak. So can anyone point me to a 'how to' to do the Det sensor short please? TIA

can someone clarify this for me have read so many threads im now just confused... if i wanted wheels for a wide arch kit, for example 20mm wide arches, would i get ~ .8 inches wider alloys or increase my offset by 20mm? or both, my heads hurting now please help...

ive been changing the orange bulbs in my front indicators for silver ones and I've noticed the drivers side one has a small crack in it so it's gotta go!! Spotted them crystal ones on eBay that look nice but it says they might not fit imports? Who's got them already? Are they a pain to fit?

Just after some more information on the above. My fuel pump at the minute just pumps constantly without varying speed, (although it sometimes struggles when the revs are hunting really bad). I think I remember Jeff saying it was because the fuel pump ecu will have been shorted out due to it not working. So am i right in saying that if I buy another one (such as the one black magic is selling) and then replace mine the fuel pump will run normally and I'd get rid of the constant whining noise???? Anybody fitted one of these? because i wouldn't even know where it goes. As always any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi all, does anyone know the diameter of the pipe for the targa drain tubes, the ones that go down into the front footwell? I think these must shrink with age, mine no longer reaches the connection at the bottom so want to buy some pipe and sort it.

Hi guys, I know this has been covered but none of the usual suspects apply. I did have a sizeable leak in the exhaust but I had help from a guy on Angelsey, modifying the exhaust so that it now lines up perfectly. He does custom exhaust builds and mods to a very high standard if anyone is interested. There should be no overfuelling, I'm running the same tune as I did on my previous engine without any popping. I don't see how it could be an intake leak as this would lead to unmetered air and therefore lean if anything. It's making good boost anyway so I'm confident it's all sealed up nicely. My zed has gone through a total makeover, since sorning it in March, I removed bits that i just wasnt happy wit. The skirt were the main problem, as they were hiding all manner of issues, lots of rot. after removing all the crud it was apparent the skirts had caused most of it. So any free time i could get, i would do a bit more, to make it all good. Making new panels from the inside out. Next was the high level wings west spoiler, once i got if off and repaired the back end, it has a brand new fibreglass OEM spoiler and brake light. As above, ive been after one of these for a few years, but couldnt warrant the price they are new, so managed to grab this bargain, which im really happy with. It feels slightly less chunky than my old Momo, but it looks great :drool:

I know theres are people out there making the stock lights LED, but i'm looking into some mars performance ones, but there are no pictures of what they actually look like on a car and google images seems to be failing me. :helpsmilie: these are the lights. if anybody has fitted these or can find a pic that would be great to see them on a car in daylight. Hi, I'm trying to confirm a part number and the parts catalog I've found isn't helping much. Due to brittle and leaking fuel pipes I've almost replaced all of them on the car now but one in particular is leaking a little but its the one at the front of the engine between the 2 fuel rails and I can't get to it without removing the throttle assemblies. What I mean by that is there are the 2 butterflies on the front of the plenum which are connected to each other and to the throttle and Cruise cables. I think this is right one. Just like to say thanks again to mikey bean for coming over to help refit the engine. just cant believe we had to stop because of 4 missing bolts,lol. But am really chuffed to finally have a engine sat back in the bay after 4yrs.
