Probably had a little too much free time this morning and been trying to decide what I want to do with the side skirts for my zed. I'm also debating possibly lowering it a bit more. I've ran a few mock ups just comparing; stock with veilside c2 skirts (which I've got upstairs waiting to go on) or maybe something different like extreme dimensions skirts. The problem is I kind of like all of them ha. I think I'm leaning towards lowered and veilside c2's but again I'm undecided so would be nice to get some opinions :) any other suggestions would be welcome too :) Top pics are skirts on the car as is and the ones below of the car lowered. Stock skir…

Right my red 300 went into the bodyshop today :scooter: to have some war wounds repaired and a few cracks n chips sorted :punk: then its under the bonnet to replace some parts for new polished and chromed ones and also fit a few upgrades :innocent: while the bonnets open. Then its a visit to Mark to sort out my rear boot install :helpsmilie:. Then when all this is finished it will be time to start on my yellow/gold 300 Shelzx car as this will be going through some big changers :innocent::innocent:

Hey Folks; funny I was looking at the 99 spec japanese catalog brought from Japan some years back...and I´ve noticed that on one of the 99 Z the steering wheel is different and has some red stitches beautiful on it...just like the shift knob 99 spec...JDM...I was wondering if there is any place where they sell this streering wheel new with those red stitches around it? some original parts store in Japan perhaps?

right i fitted hids on wednesday and got to try them out last night, on a 15 mile drive really impressed loads different. however on the way back this morning, i turned the car on and the usual lights illuminated on the dash except they didnt go out. the battery light the hicas the antilock and the lights. within a few minutes all but the battery light had disapperaed and the battery light had dimmed right down. then as soon as i dropped below 2500 rpm they would all reappear accompanied by the sound of what can only be described as a bee. foot down back off. :s so i tested the battery, 12.1v across the terminals, engine on 11.8vs. so i would assume the alter…

ive recently popped my sidelights into the turn signal hole in the crystal indicators, it looks great however im just not thinking they are bright enough. when i look at the new alfas and mercs with there bright led sidelights mine are no where near as bright. the one i went for was this style. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-T10-501-W5W-168-Capless-4-LED-Front-Sidelight-Bulb-/360403679752?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D3964410475522698460 now knowing one or two things about spectral outputs and keenly following the progress of led i was thinking that smds would be better as they are generally brighte…

Hi, I'm after help with fitting a remote central locking unit. Seems simple enough, but I cannot get the pulse to lock/unlock the doors. I have taken the drivers door card off and located the four wire connector, one wire is positive, one negative, then two pulse wires. I have measured with a meter when I turn the key in the lock, and the two centre wires get a positive pulse in turn if locking/unlocking. Putting 12v directly on these does not have the same result! I'm lost now, but hope fully someone will be able to help with the diagrams below - The unit is working and happily switching the indicators! Any help would be great :) Also, I now need to know the …

Hey Richard, not sure if it's because of which section you've posted in, but I could not comment on your other thread.. I'm all for encouraging younger members, but agree with Stellaz, that some of the content that we post here may be a little inappropriate for a younger audience. Not sure how you fix that and also depends exactly how young the young members are. In principle I'd be up for letting them join for free or a very reduced rate. I'm sure we'd quickly get suspicious if one of our juniour members started asking for things like replacement CPU's and welding tips!! Cheers

Hi all, After a bit of advice please. The Zed is getting a set of KYB AGX shocks with (what I believe) eibach springs fitted. I've got DW front and rear camber arms and front tension rods to go on too. Has anyone got any info on rough adjustment required before going for 4 wheel alignment please? Reason is I don't know of a place in Germany that does it so may have to drive to England before its done. Many thanks, Rob

I have a '91 Twin Turbo Automatic, and when I go above 3k RPM, I get a grinding noise for a short time, and a huge power loss. It does eventually pick up, but I get a constant whistling noise, but not all the time. Sometimes when I do put my foot down, it just drops into the right gear and it shoots off like a rocket, but 90% of the time it will delay massively. A few different people said it is a gearbox issue, but someone who has had more experience with turbo performance cars says it's a turbo. The previous owner said it was like that for over a year, and it is still going strong, so I'm not 100% sure it is the turbo. I'll try to make a vid of it if the …

Currently my car is fitted with a rather difficult to read speedo, its in k/ph and goes upto 300 kmph. The converter, now means that 30mph shows as 30kph so the gauge reads upto 300mph. Not very usefull. So im setting about changing this. Ive aquired a speedo which reads upto 180 but I noticed it actually says on it kph, so now im a little confused, what do I need to do to get my car to read as if it where a uk car. And why do I have these weird clocks, as a side note my jap clocks have zsport written in the centre

Sure you some of your MOT guys have already seen these but we saw the new MOT certificate last week and was very surprised by the low tech look of them, in fact not just low tech but low security also, no actual official water marked paper just normal pc paper and printed using a small ministry programme....! Well i tucked away all my engine loom and instead of just patch fixing it i went hey i'll take the whole body loom that runs under the guards, shorten the heck out of it and bring it inside the car... 20 hours of work later i'm almost ready to shorten. This seemed like a good idea in my head.

Do MINES ECUs have a safety map? Reason I'm asking is that my car only seems to be devloping 5psi boost of late. If they do, I figured I'd try the 1M resistor trick to see if that sorts it before I start looking for a boost leak. So can anyone point me to a 'how to' to do the Det sensor short please? TIA
