I am not going to renew my subscription this year. I have had a good time over the last 7 years, but having sold my Zed due to not being able to drive anymore because of my medical condition, I have decided to let my subscription lapse. I will still be here as a registered member.

Does any differences between UK TT and NA jap import??? Is the suspension system is the same? Is the gearbox exactly the same? Any other differences?

Hi all, I had a manual gearbox change a few yrs back and my speedo has never been right since. I have alot of rumours that there is an issue with the signal etc and a need a resistor somewhere. Or could it be the speed sensor as sometimes it works then sometime it don't, then the steering goes tight i (the norm effect). Its annoying as my old auto box had a new sensor on and no problems.:cursing:

Might be a daft question, but out of curiosity is there a nissan equivalent of the 'paperclip' test on vauxhalls that some of you may be familiar with, whereby you bridge two pins on the diagnostic plug with a bent paperclip or similar and the ecu fault codes are flashed up by the engine management light blinking in a set sequence that translates into fault code numbers?.

This has been going on for quite a while now, and slowly seems to be getting worse. The idle revs are hunting quite badly majority of the time although not all. (no correlation between engine temp) and it seems to be quite sluggish through the range when giving it some poke. Then last night for some strange reason as i was pulling out of a junction I gave it a little bit of boost but it didn't really seem to go anywhere. it did sound quite strange and it kicked a cloud out of the back. tried it again when i got it into second and the same thing happened. but then a couple of miles down the road and the problem seemed to have disappeared. When the idle revs are s…

91 jap import TT LWB looking at my exhaust there are two braded lines going into the side of the cats. these lines then dissapear into the cabin though a rubber hole. i assume they are sensors of some kind? I have tried to find a reference for them but with no luck, so hence the post. cheers

Hi guys, Got another strange one, Seem to have loads of power until 3500rpm, Car seems to be running fine, Not missing or holding back or anything just dont seem to have the same grunt after 3500rpm, Its that weird if i am doing 70 - 80mph in 5th gear and accelerate it feels like it has more torq and a pulls a lot quicker then if i drop it back gears, Also i have noticed that the sound from exhaust is throaty and cars pulling hard then it hits 3500rpm and exhaust noise is less throaty and just hear turbo noise, it has no boost leaks and is running 14psi, retarded the timing a little bit today and power will go up the rev range a little but is sti…

Hi everyone, Was bored again today lol, and was cleaning out garage and noticed i had two sets of targa covers and was gonna throw a set, Then looked at my worn tweed centre arm rest, so cut up one for a laugh and covered my arm rest and was quite shocked it came out bloody well, well a damn site better then it was anyway, And it seems to match the dash colour well too. Take some photos tomorrow and put them up, Its a free way of making it look better and have one and three quarters of the targa covers left incase it needs recovering again lol, Used some spray glue and an hair dryer to stretch it round the corners better, Was really easy…

I have a problem with my 93 300zx TT Auto. When starting from cold it runs fine on all 6 cylinders. However, when it is hot the 6th cylinder stops working. I have tried swapping plugs and coil packs and eliminated those at this stage. The problem always stays with the 6th cylinder. I have checked compression and that seems fine too. What else could it be?

Well it rained pretty much all day here and the rain for long periods was extremely heavy causing lots of road flooding and water run off the fields etc, but despite all this my Z didn't let in a single drop through the targa tops. She's good, she's dry whoop whoop!

Hi Guys Probably a question for Groover (Graham) - Mr. all things electrical :-) Thought I would replace my drivers window switch as the markings had rubbed off. Mine is a Jap Spec '91 and the new switch is from a UK '92. The Jap switch has 3 & 4 pin connector. The UK switch has 3 & 6 pin connector. (see photos) The UK has what looks like an extra bulb & connector. Was the UK spec switch illuminated hence the extra 2 pins? Both switches work ok but neither lights up at the moment. Cheers Martin
