Hey, Just looking for the Nissan part number for this, preferably with the rear brake light in it, if not, the normal one would be ok. I saw a post about a week and a half ago, but a search through the recent forums, and a search didn't find it. If anyone has the part number, I'd be grateful.

Hi Guys, I originally purchased the car just under 6 months ago. The garaged taxed it for me and were suppose to send of the log book for change of name and owner. Well its my fault, I forgot about the log book. Never received it. Now its time to tax the vehicle and obviously I cant do that as I have no log book. I have downloaded a form for obtaining a log book and the fee is £25.00 However I am stuck on the chassis number VIN. My car is a JAP IMPORT and has more VIN numbers than the box will allow. Can anyone advise?

i fitted my new japspeed rad the other weekend and after its first two drives, ive noticed to issues. firstly i seem to loose about 1/4 of a litre of coolant both times, toppd it up the first time. :s can i assume that given that im not experiencing any drips.( i put a piece of noteboard paper under the car to check over night no green dots) that was both running and cold. can i assume that im not leaking? my thoerys are either : im still getting air out the system, ive only covered about 30 miles so far, with the temp set on max. : or that its over flowing into the emptied expansion bottle and not coming back. (i havent actually checked to see wether its gone …

I havent driven the zed for a while, put about half a litre of oil in as it looked a little low. drove above 10 miles and fine, on the way back it started to misfire. it got to around 4000 revs and would go no further but drove home okay under that rev range. went back out straight away and the power completely went. I know it shouldnt be the case, but if I have over filled the oil, anyway at all it could misfire? Thats probably just coincidence. Anyway drained some oil out just in case and restarted, no problem, no misfire. Lad over the road pulled up and we chatting about his GT4, the car was running, it started to misfire again, enough so it cut out. Ill…

Hi all just wanted to post up the results of my power runs yesterday after the boost controller was plumbed in and set up it should be boosting around 0.9 bar on the road because its a uk auto theres no power hold button so we couldnt really do a full throttle run. the boost looks better now and made a modest 15hp and there was a tiny amount of det at about 3.5k but bobs timing light had been smashed to bits a few days ago so we couldnt check it, it really needs mapping now which should be happening in the next few weeks it looks pretty good to me but tbh i have no idea how a zed graph should look so thoght id ask you guys if it looked ok? cheers guys

There's been so much vandalism and thefts recently that I've decided to get some security installed that covers my zeds at night - and the wife's herbie too. Every second week or so there's cops at the door asking if you seen or heard anything the other night when the neighbours tyres got slashed or even when somebody nicked our brown wheelie bin. So I thought I've chanced my luck long enough and have bought my self one of these : I've done CCTV before with wiring up around 12 cameras at my work so don't think this job will be too hard to install. I plan to put it under the eaves of the rear top corner of my house and run the cable nee…

Whilst attending to several jobs on a nice zed we could not help but notice the front brakes were not in a good shape. On closer inspection it was clear the pads were done, and more so one side of the caliper what was less clear was how the discs had not been damaged.. was close though, just a heads up to check your brake pad wear, on standard and many other wheels its only a glance through the wheel anyhow, the owner decided to have upgrade discs and pads anyhow which was nice. I keep thinking i should giv up on the zed project. I hav so much to do and so much little time. But when i go on this site and look at some of the cars and read the threads it gives me more insperation and a massive boost to just go and do a bit more. I carnt get rid of her, but i am getting impatient now. I want to go meets and track days also shows but i carnt yet. Oneday!

i could really use some advise, just been fitting a few of my new parts, went to go for a test drive and she won't go over 1500 rpm, if it does it cuts power, (not engine) however if its in park or neutral it will rev freely and sounds perfect??? is this some sort of safety mode? and ideas what to do?

Hi I want to fit some custom body kit - however I'm a bit concerned about how low it may be (to the road!) as my Zed is already lowered, with eibach springs fitted So I'm intending to fit front and rear bumper, side skirts and possibly vented wings, rear lights - and change the colour My previous Zed, the one I wrecked lol (must see if I still have some photo's of it) had a lot of custom body kit. Problem was it would pass just about anything but a speed hump. I must have broke the front spoiler about half a dozen times!! Out of interest I do have an old receipt for the kit on the old Zed (I didn't fit it) and have some Zedcentre codes from 2004 - b…

long way off still but im thinking of wheels for the car once its done currently i have a set of refurbed enkei rp01s 17" 9j front 10j rear, they are a classic 5 spoke which i think will suit the car very well, but ages ago i saw a zed running on what look like big oem wheels (18s i think) and i really like that look. im not sure if they are what i saw ( i think it was dazvert who posted the pic) but i am thinking of going for a set of porsche turbo twists, ideally 18" and at least 10" on the back any thoughts, any pics?

Stock taking is never the most thrilling job but to lighten the task I though of a little guessing game and so stacked our oil filter stock and took a few pics. The challenge guys is to guess how many Nissan 300zx filters there are, I have given some different angles to help you calculate, hypothesise ( guess ) or use some wild mathematical formular to find the answer. Note: I have placed a non disclosed number of filters out of sight behind one of the boxes, just to give everyone a chance, I will reveal the amount at the end, so a guess could get it right or count them and then guess whats behind the box, closest guess get a £10 into their paypal account and …

Hi guys. With the standard recircs being plumbed in down the front, could i take the recirc pipe off the inlet and block that and effectively have an atmospheric dump valve? Would this actually sound like a dump valve or are they not designed that way? Has anyone done this yet? Mark

Hi Guys My Zed is having another of it's temperamental moments, and the old girl seems to throw up some wierd (to me) problems! I did realise I had auto-folding door mirrors as on an odd occasion I have folded the passenger one in and when turning on the ignition it folded out Today I started the car and both mirrors fold in. The passsenger one keeps making a clicking noise and motor keeps whirring If I pull that one slightly further in it clicks again but at least the motor whirring stops I've tried starting the car with both mirros pulled all the way in - and they don't fold out, if I thin push the drivers side one out it keeps wanting to fold …

Im a bit unhappy:whistling: When i did a manual conversion recently, i bought a complete new clutch kit. I noticed a slight clutch release bearing noise, which surprised me as it was brand new. It obviously has gradually got worse and i find when i come to a stop, im keeping the clutch in to stop the whirring noise as its so annoying. I wonder if i can get to it through the fork gaitor and spray some lithium grease or similar into the bearing or is it shot? I dont really fancy having to get the box off unless i really have too. Cheers Graham
