Hi guys, Got another strange one, Seem to have loads of power until 3500rpm, Car seems to be running fine, Not missing or holding back or anything just dont seem to have the same grunt after 3500rpm, Its that weird if i am doing 70 - 80mph in 5th gear and accelerate it feels like it has more torq and a pulls a lot quicker then if i drop it back gears, Also i have noticed that the sound from exhaust is throaty and cars pulling hard then it hits 3500rpm and exhaust noise is less throaty and just hear turbo noise, it has no boost leaks and is running 14psi, retarded the timing a little bit today and power will go up the rev range a little but is sti…

Hi everyone, Was bored again today lol, and was cleaning out garage and noticed i had two sets of targa covers and was gonna throw a set, Then looked at my worn tweed centre arm rest, so cut up one for a laugh and covered my arm rest and was quite shocked it came out bloody well, well a damn site better then it was anyway, And it seems to match the dash colour well too. Take some photos tomorrow and put them up, Its a free way of making it look better and have one and three quarters of the targa covers left incase it needs recovering again lol, Used some spray glue and an hair dryer to stretch it round the corners better, Was really easy…

I have a problem with my 93 300zx TT Auto. When starting from cold it runs fine on all 6 cylinders. However, when it is hot the 6th cylinder stops working. I have tried swapping plugs and coil packs and eliminated those at this stage. The problem always stays with the 6th cylinder. I have checked compression and that seems fine too. What else could it be?

What do you all think? It has been powdercoated in gloss grey, not too flashy and not too dull It should look nice on my grey zed

  6. Started by snowleopard,

Well it rained pretty much all day here and the rain for long periods was extremely heavy causing lots of road flooding and water run off the fields etc, but despite all this my Z didn't let in a single drop through the targa tops. She's good, she's dry whoop whoop!

  7. Hi Guys Probably a question for Groover (Graham) - Mr. all things electrical :-) Thought I would replace my drivers window switch as the markings had rubbed off. Mine is a Jap Spec '91 and the new switch is from a UK '92. The Jap switch has 3 & 4 pin connector. The UK switch has 3 & 6 pin connector. (see photos) The UK has what looks like an extra bulb & connector. Was the UK spec switch illuminated hence the extra 2 pins? Both switches work ok but neither lights up at the moment. Cheers Martin

We are looking to finish our bolt-on diffusers (2+0 and 2+2 versions) for the UK market and we need one last thing...What are the exact dimensions for the number plate area on the rear bumper? The american/japanese number plate dimensions on the rear bumper are 36cm x 18cm as you can see on the pics: Hope you guys can help us with this dimensions, since it's very important for to make the diffusers fit right on the UK spec Z's.

Big thanks to Jeff and Jamie for sorting the water leak on my zed. Took a while. It was the four or five inch heater matrix hose that had a leak caused by an overtightened jubilee clip cutting into it. Who the eff put that on ? Then JAn's zed was in for an MOT Jamie said oooh pads llok a bit low. Spot on Jamie, flew through and he won a fitting for new pads all round. Thank you Zedworld

If I was a day later, this car would have been on a scrap pile, which would have been a great shame. But I've now expanded my Z collection with the addition of this rather pretty pearl white NA. I had to remove the front bumper to tow it back. Its really tidy and had some money spent on it, but its not all gravy, as the engine is knackered, as is the gearbox and also the radiator! (thats probably down to the wrong top hose!!! :slap: ) the exhaust has been sold as had a couple of interior trim panels but I've already fitted new ones. I have an engine and manual gearbox 'in stock' hence the reason I'm gonna repair this one up! :thumbu…

I've just had a blether with my engine builder and thought i'd see what your opinions are. I'm having a full engine rebuild and will be running HKS GT2510s. These are complete with HKS elbows. Before i got my hands on the HKS tubs i got a nice set of Z1 4 bolt split downpipes. These are obviously now useless as i need 5 bolt downpipes for the HKS tubs. Anyhoos, i was going to try and get a set of the Z1 5 bolt split downpipes. My engine builder told me not to bother - the HKS elbows will be fine. From his experience, unless i'm hoping to run 1000bhp the difference is completely negliable. Whats your thoughts on this? Only actually experience ple…

Hi Guys! Ive originally posted this in the ZClub but a Zed is a Zed! We had a few of you guys down for petrolhead nirvana a few weeks ago and we got speaking to the Hero that is Steve Burns. We spoke about having a Z only day down at LMM, we can get you guys to bring the 3 best Zeds you have t offer inside the museum in the studio for some crispy shots. All we need is a date, we are NOT located in central London and we have plenty of parking. Steve said that some of you guys pictured us like the transport museum! We are very different! How are you guys for the end of November? Alvin LMM team
