October 25, 201114 yr Hi guys, Can anybody help me before I do the wrong thing and wreck my interior. Could you tell me step by step how to get the panels out that go over the rear arches that sit under the rear passenger windows They sit between the seats and the side of the car, they are curvy looking. I need them reupholstered as they have seen better days. Thanks
October 25, 201114 yr You need to remove the rear seats, bottom part just pulls out, top part, fold it down and there are 2 x 10mm bolts each side. Once they're out, remove your plastic sill covers, then, the rubber weather strip that goes up the B pillar, remove it at least to above the height of the panel. Then I think there are a couple of 10 or 12mm bolts/nuts that hold it in place to the floorpan, once they're out, just pull it carefully until the poppers come away from the bodywork and it should be off. If it's a UK and the seat belt is through it, you need to pull the plastic seat belt guide out of the quarter panel gently, slide it up the belt and then you should find the top and bottom parts of the rear quarter panels come apart slightly to let it out. That's all from memory and my car wasn't fully together in the first place I don't think, but it's close enough for you to find anything I've missed I think.
