  3. Hello first off it is great to see so many gorgeous Z's on this site. Truly has inspired me to go the extra mile on my build and hope many of you give advice and guidance to help me along the way. The first build is a 93 usdm 300zedx non turbo. I am seeking help with the following: 1. Instrument cluster, aside from changing the bulbs to led, where can I find really neat gauges and how to change those? 2. The front h3 fog lights I would love to use an HID kit of some sort, any advice on how to go about this? Thank you kindly in advance Thasey

Hi, can anyone recall what the cheaper alternative part is for replacement of the slave? A new Z32 one is about £100 but pattern part ones for other Nissans are about £25. Pretty sure S14 ones fit.

Hi all Anyone seen the latest Modern Classics? There is a great feature on 1990s GT cars - pitting the likes of the Jag XKR, BMW 840, Merc CL500 - along with some lesser cars, like the Corrado VR6, Pug 406 Coop, Fiat Coop and Subaru SVX...… Oh and one certainly no lesser, the mighty 300zx..... The verdict - "The Nissan 300zx is the most engaging driver's car here. It's not quite as refined as some of the others, but its prowess more than makes up for it, and it's still a comfortable place to be....."! As they wrote, when eliminating all the others save for the Jag XKR. Second place, compared to a Jag XKR - which was designed and built a few years after the…

Got the Z out last weekend after it's winter hibernation and it fires up fine and drives ok under light to moderate load. However, when asking for more power it judders and runs rough, seemingly misfires and does not boost. I do tend to let it turn over and drive up the road every now and then on dry days in winter to avoid it being stood completely for several months. I have been very lucky with the car as I have owned it 17 years and had only one major failure, ECU. My first thought was the turbos but there is no smoking or obvious leak from what I can see. Seems more like a misfire related issue. Looking for a bit of a 'checklist' to run through some obvious …

Due to my extreme bad luck in engines recently i've kind of been ignoring the zed as i don't want to feel any worse than i do by thinking about it to much but that being said the cover has been off and parts lying about that there was a layer cake of dust and other contaminants that could have spoiled the overall paintwork. So today with the help of my wifes car we hauled her out of the garage for a reassembly and thorough clean. Afer a scale and polish she makes my proud again to say i own her - minus an engine for now.

Hi, I want to upgrage the brakes on my car. The front discs look tiny by todays comparison. What is the cheapest/easiest solution

  10. Hey - I'm back again... and so soon! The next issue I am facing after the indicators, is the fact that the two key fobs that remotely lock/unlock the car and arm/disarm the alarm that I got with the car have crumbled to dust and died... and after only 26 years of service... wtf?! ? So, I would love to get a new fob and program it to use all the existing infrastructure. Has anyone done this before? Mine is a UK spec 1994 Z32, and the remote locking system and alarm are the Nissan factory fitted standard. Any tips/hints gratefully received!

Hi all, I’m planning on replacing the AC Compressor at some point in the next 3-4 months. The current one exploded under the previous owners ownership. It’s been converted to r134a already and had all those o rings replaced. Anyway enough waffling. Previous owner advised buying a used compressor and getting it refurbished so you can install with peace of mind that it’ll last a long while. I found a used series 2 ac compressor but not sure if it will fit my 93 TT. I saw online on the Z1 motorsports website that they’re the same unit between series 1 & 2 cars however the connector on the series 2 compressor is slightly different so you can cut the wires and splice …

Ok i have seen these on ebay im kind of interested although i wasn't really looking at changing wings for a while. Now the people selling them Banzai breakers i contacted and asked if we could do a deal as i thought 400 was steep for 2nd hand when z centre do them for 480 brand new.I was told the Z centre ones are a poor fit and these will fit perfectly, hmmm is there any truth in this or are they just trying it on.I do not know this place so its an impartial question.Cheers

Hi Guys, I have a manual UK spec TT 1994 Z32 which I am trying to clean up a bit, and I'm looking to replace the front driver's side indicator light housing which is cracked and filling with water. My front indicator lights are in housings which also contain a white "side light", and are located in the enclosures that are immediately either side of the front numberplate, on the front of the car. Looking around at photos and eBay etc, it seems as though this is a bit unusual... most Z's seem to have their indicators on the front quarters of the car instead (these for me are fog lights...) Is my lighting arrangement particular to the UK spec of car? I gues…

As im sure we have all read, the UK is going to shift over to E10 petrol to help curb emissions: https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/advice/emissions/what-is-e10-fuel-and-how-could-it-affect-you/ It seems most(!) cars before either 2000 or 2002 cant use this blend of petrol according to the link above and the pdf below. I wanted to find out more information because if "normal" E5 stops being sold, do I have to live with reduced power and/or fuel lines being eaten by this new, more corrosive blend. I went to my local Nissan dealer to ask them about it and the first response to "I drive a 300zx" was "what is that?". Not a great start I admit. I asked my question and …

Good morning 1991 300zx TT Auto has been sitting idle for 10 odd years. She will be put in to a garage for a complete overhaul, But I needs to move her a short distance (500 yards) to get her onto a flatbed and I just want to check I have my bases covered before I run her up: Fuel, do I need to drain any residule fuel (if any) before topping up with fresh? Engine Oil. Is it worth replacing oil? From what I have researched 10-30W Fully Synthetic is ok, unless in extremely low temps. Transmission fluid. Again is it worth changing? Any recommendations? Thanks in Advance PS Just subscribed to the forum ?

I have a 1990 TT and have a hissing noise when pressing down the clutch peddle, coming from, it would seem the clutch pedal area. I thought it may be the clutch booster, but I have pulled the vacuum hose off in the engine bay and capped it at the manifold, but the hissing is still there. Only does it when pressing the clutch peddle. If I keep the clutch peddle pressed in about an inch or so it will continually hiss in that area until I push it all the way down or release it when the noise goes away. Doing my head in trying to figure out what it could be, any ideas ?

Hello. I have had this car for 20 years and about a year ago the car started shaking on idle. I took it to Nissan center, they tested the engine, all running good. They changed the spark plugs, the car looked better for couple of days, and then went to the same. I took it to another Nissan center, they said it was bad injector. They checked it, injectors were good, but the main engine harness was not. Got a new one, the car looked fine, but couple more days and it's shaking again. Also, at high speed it looks like shaking more than normal, but not so sure about that, might be just me trying to overlook the issue. I don't know what else can I do to solve this. The start of…

Hi folks, My Zed has had an intermittent boot-catch problem for the last few months. Initially, it would jiggle and trigger the interior light/door open light, when driving over bumps etc. I adjusted the catch, so that the boot was more tightly closed - which cured it for a while. When it happened again, I replaced the bolts, as the brass ones had clearly become useless. That worked for a while too - until the light started come on when I had a boot full of shopping; IE when I "squashed" the tailgate down. I then bought a second-hand boot catch from Ebay. This worked for a couple of months - and you've guessed it, the damn thing is playing up again - triggering …
