Can anyone help with a quick question about oil? I want to order some oil from Shell this morning but could do with some advice. I've got a '91 Jap TT Auto with about 70K on the clock and want to put the oil in that will be the 'best for the engine', and not necessarilly the 'best oil', if that makes sense. I've been recomended by the guy's at Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 fully synthetic, but from past experience know that fully synthetic oil can sometimes be too good and may be better off with 10w-40 Helix Plus semi synthetic, as the Helix Ultra maybe too thin. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks, Nij

You love ripping the piss out my car as we all know,That honestly does not get to me, but if it flicks your switch then carry on LOL But if you own a SWB Z as you claim to,why dare you not post pics of it in your rides? You dont own one do you? Like I said I wont laugh if it looks shit. cheerZ MAC O ------------------ KEEP IT SIDEWAYS;).

I have recently acquired a UK 300 TT. Today I noticed the engine was lumpy at up to 1500 rpm when cold, B4 i thought there was a slight uneveness at tickover but not like today. When the engine heats up it sounds ok and the lumpy tickover isnt there. I pulled out all the sparkplugs tonight, they are all fine and have recently been changed. The only other thing i noticed was the plugs onto the coils are broken and maybee I thought not giving a good connection but no difference when i pushed them onto the coils. Any ideas anyone, I think a crypton tune to hopefully show up a weak coil or something like that as i dont think its terminal. Cheers John Crisp

Just remembered, when i was fitting bushes to my motorbike shocks i used hot water(not quite boiling) to soak the bushes in to soften them. this makes them much more plyable. with a touch of grese in the tension rod hole, a hos bush and a big vice they should slip in a treat! Hope this will help some one who is sweating there ass of trying to get them in! Kris ------------------

I just got my car from my mechanic. Car is great, gearbox is great, new clutch installed etc. But the only problem i have at the moment is with the clutch pedal. When I press the clutch pedal it goes empty for quite long distance and only at the end it look like it bites. As a result the car feels like it goes with slipping clutch. We have removed the air from the clutch lines but problem is still there. Is there any way to make my clutch pedal bite as soon as i press it? P.S My Level 10 Billet Converter and my AUTO box is on sale. Check FOR SALE AND WANTED

Hi all, As you may be aware my car was vandalised a couple of months ago and one of the items that needs replacing is the rear window - it has several chips taken out of it. I don't want to have them polished out as this would cause annoying distortions. My insurance company will pay me for getting the damage repaired BUT will only supply UK spec windows (i.e., blue tinted). My car is a Jap-spec and therefore requires bronze tinted windows. To get the correct glass from Japan is going to take upto 6 weeks and cost in the region of £1400 (!!!! ) My question is if anyone has a J-spec rear window for a 2+2 (this is important as SWB windows are smaller). Must be in ex…

The first passenger said, " I'm Kobe Bryant, the best NBA basketball player, the Lakers need me, I can't afford to die....So he took the first parachute and left the plane. > > The second passenger, Hillary Clinton, said, "I am the wife of the former president of the United States, I am also the most ambitious woman in the world and I am a New York Senator and a potential future president." She took the second parachute and jumped out of theplane. > > The third passenger, George W. Bush, said: "I'm President of the United States of America, I have a great r…

I am getting yellow water dripping out at quite a rate from under the car. It looks like its coming from the edge of the radiator at the bottom but from both sides Same place on each side. I am hoping that its just a leaking pipe under the car. I am about to jack her up and see. Can any one have a guess at what it could be? Any help again guys. Stuart
