Iain has fixed his AFM but just out of interest I rang my local Nelson for a price after getting the part number from the Courtesy Fiche. Just incase anyone wants the details... Mass Air Flow Meter P/N: 22680-30P00 0789- VG30DTT So Big Mac being the King of Discount with his local dealer was quoted 380 all in. Take into account that Mike Feeney at MJP quoted off the top of his head on Sunday at Trax 500 squids. My local Nelson give me 418 inc. vat. Not quite 500 though eh Mike??? Anyway, I mailed Courtesy this afternoon and would you Adam and Eve it??? FFS...read this... Greetings, I do show to have in stock. You may refer t…

Just to let eberyone know that I started dismantling another 300ZX a couple of weeks ago, so most parts are available. I'm hoping to start a restoration of a 300ZX over the next couple of months, so I might actually be asking for a couple of parts soon. I hope people give me as good a deal as I give everybody else :-) AndyZ (01634 221783 or geewhizz@onetel.net.uk)

I have this problem, I buy an engine, hear it running %100, take it out and fit my clutch and fly wheel, put it in my car and change the oil cooler, and within about 100-200 miles it is knocking like a bast**d. In both cases all the parts were swoped with the engine, The only parts carried across to each engine, is my flywheel and my clutch. What is happening to these engines???? Any ideas!

Just got ny car back from Nissan last night. After changing Water pump and timing belt due to bad water leak from pump. Took car out for spin and it started to overheat after apprx 30 miles. Went back to nissan today and they said it was down on coolant so topped it back up and took it for a run. There is no sign of any leakage and they finally said there must have been an air blockage in the coolant system whch ment they didnt put enough coolant in yesterday. Could the problem have been as simple as this or is there some other reasonwhy the Z overheats. They said head gasket seemed fine so that was thankfully ruled out as the cause. Cheers Ro…

I'd like to recommend the parts dept at Nissan Widnes for an excellent service. I've spent more cash than i'd like to think about there over the last year getting me Z sorted. They gave me a discount, and to top it all off I walked in there today asking for an oil filter. They gave it to me, and said have it on the house?!?! Jeepers, how much have i spent?!!? Oh, I also got a crimbo card off them for being the largest spending private buyer! Sorry if i'm posting this on the wrong forum, but hey, that's Ford drivers for ya ! Managed to get hold of a Turbo Timer and figured the majority of you guys/girls on here use them, considering the cost of your replacement turbos ! Thing is.....it's got no wiring diagram with it, only the block/bullet connectors that come out of the back of the unit. Anyone any ideas what i have to connect to what on it? The reward for the correct wiring diagram will be some of the worst (never seen ) photogrpahs of Tooley for your amusement ! (Sorry Tooley, but i NEED these details LOL). It's an R Spec Auto Turbo Timer Model No. ATT24X. There's a sheathed cable coming out…

just a quickie for you knowledgeable types out there! I'm just coming to the end of slapping a manual box on my previously auto Z, one thing that bothers me is if I leave my auto ECU in, do I need to wire the inhibitor switch into anywhere to allow the car to start? Instead of this, what would happen if I plugged in a spare manual ECU (same age) into the car and tried that. I've looked at the manual (for the UK car) and the manual ECU doesn't seem to detect that the car's in neutral for starting, as far as I can see it would only require one wire splicing. Any ideas? ------------------ 'I hope I die peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather and not l…

Probably the easiest job you could possibly carry out on the car. Jack up, wheel off. Remove the wheel arch liner drill that hole baby! Right where the pipe bends into a downward U shape. Water drained out and then the other side was the same. No more annoying gurgle at idle now...sorted! ------------------ "My mother was like a sister to me, only we didn't have sex quite so often."
