Sorry if i'm posting this on the wrong forum, but hey, that's Ford drivers for ya ! Managed to get hold of a Turbo Timer and figured the majority of you guys/girls on here use them, considering the cost of your replacement turbos ! Thing is.....it's got no wiring diagram with it, only the block/bullet connectors that come out of the back of the unit. Anyone any ideas what i have to connect to what on it? The reward for the correct wiring diagram will be some of the worst (never seen ) photogrpahs of Tooley for your amusement ! (Sorry Tooley, but i NEED these details LOL). It's an R Spec Auto Turbo Timer Model No. ATT24X. There's a sheathed cable coming out…

just a quickie for you knowledgeable types out there! I'm just coming to the end of slapping a manual box on my previously auto Z, one thing that bothers me is if I leave my auto ECU in, do I need to wire the inhibitor switch into anywhere to allow the car to start? Instead of this, what would happen if I plugged in a spare manual ECU (same age) into the car and tried that. I've looked at the manual (for the UK car) and the manual ECU doesn't seem to detect that the car's in neutral for starting, as far as I can see it would only require one wire splicing. Any ideas? ------------------ 'I hope I die peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather and not l…

Probably the easiest job you could possibly carry out on the car. Jack up, wheel off. Remove the wheel arch liner drill that hole baby! Right where the pipe bends into a downward U shape. Water drained out and then the other side was the same. No more annoying gurgle at idle now...sorted! ------------------ "My mother was like a sister to me, only we didn't have sex quite so often." A friend of mine is considering moving up to a high performance sports car and is looking to spend about up to £8k on an import. He is looking at the Toyota MR2 Turbo, Mazda RX7 Turbo, Mitsubishi GTO Turbo and Nissan Skyline GTR but I didn't think he would get much for his money or would he? What should he look out for and what are these grades I keep hearing about? Leigh - you do this don't you? ------------------ Z first and anything else is secondary! Hi, As my Z is stranded at PPS, I started wondering! Does anybody know of a flow chart to help people who have broken down, don't know if a normal one would help, it's just that the z is lot more complicated than the normal car! Anyway it would give something for you techie blokes to do, if you haven't already done it!! Mark

Once again Marks amateur mechanic brain has been working overtime! Been on SXOC forum and they talk about catch tanks! I know there was the disreputed breather system used a while ago, but does that not mean we can't use catch tanks!Or does it! Why can't we just vent the fumes to air, like a lot of systems do! If I don't start somewhere, I will never get anywhere! Mark

Help! ------------------ Rik

After seeing Vinz's ride pics and Mac's motor at Trax, I noticed that they both have the hard pipe kit and the BOVs are plumbed straight in, instead of being in the stock locations - anyone know if the hard pipes come with the BOV adaptors weled in already, or is this a mod that Vinz and Mac have done themselves?
