Cheers Jeff for all the work done to my car last weekend. Car hasn't missed a beat since and it stops like a goodun'. I recommend everyone get their calipers rebuilt if their break are feeling dead. I can now stop on a 2p piece and those Poly bush jobbies are excellent - no shake, rattle, or roll when braking now. The chip is good fun too. May the good work continue, provided no-one buys it.

just fitted a new sony head unit but everytime i turn up the volume, i either blow a fuse or the power seems to go off and come back on again. on the red power wire (which i have attached to the yellow continuious power wire on the head unit) there is a little box thingy (which i assume was put in by previous cos its got kenwood written on it) which houses a 7.5A fuse which i keep blowing. can i just bypass this box? or should this wire have a fuse on it? also on the yellow wire (which i attached to the red "switch power" wire on the head unit), there is a small box thingy with a 3A fuse in it. I did try swapping wires round(red to red, yellow to yellow) but this time i b…

Anyone know the Nissan part No. for Jap spec front brake pads with the little bracket on that rubs on the disc when the pads get low. My main dealer insists on supplying pads without this bracket (4106037P91)

Andy, Neil, I saw your replies to Nelson's post about the exhaust wrap. I am getting a new Mongoose this week and if: 1. It was worth wrapping the exhaust. If so I assume it is just the front section, closest to the engine. 2. Is it worth doing the turbos and can they be done on the car? Neil you mentioned just the sides closeest to the exhaust? Andy, did you take the photos of yours? Doing the clutch at the same time (well the garage is not me )is there anything else I should consider while he is under there ? Appreciate any advice. Ta, David

Has anyone who did this looked at the charts they give you and noticed that it starts from between 5/10mph? They weren't getting people up to the line properly and some cars crossed the timing line at the start already doing 5-10mph. So what most people have is actually a 5-10ish - 60mph time, not a true 0-60. Waste of £7 a go if it isn't accurate. ------------------ Z first and anything else is secondary! When out driving in the rain the other day, I noticed that there was a damp patch on the driver door arm rest. I traced the the trickle of water and it seemed to be coming from behind the trim at the top of the seatbelt. The window and roof rubbers all seem to be in good condition and there are no splits or cracks. Any ideas of where the water could be getting in?

Well at last the day arrived for me to collect the RX7 from Southampton. What a shit day to collect it, pissed down the whole time, so all I can say is it feels real quick. The engine in these are so smooth, and the gearbox is real sweet. The car sounds awesome. Car has HKS EVC Boost controller, not touching it assume it sets correctly, and leave well alone. Blitz turbo timer, HKS boost gauge, and shift light controller. The interior is immaculate, and the seats look like new. The 17inch split rims look like new, and the rubber is YOKO's finest all round. The car shuold be ready for registration by the end of the week. If anybody wants to be first on th…

Help, my 300zx won't start. Last night because I've been having overfuelling and cat overheating problems I pulled the connector blocks off the PTU to check for corrosion etc. They were that loose they practically came off in my hand!! I cleaned them and game them a squirt of WD40 and pushed them back on properly and now the bloody car won't start!! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I am already late for work. Cheers, Tim.
