Second car? Winter storage?

Ok, so with winter coming up I assume only the brave out there will be driving their Z's in the snow and ice..I know I have enough trouble with my Opel Manta in the wet so for winter its being hidden in my garage. I'll get some 'naff' fiesta or something to see me through the winter months..any way..when my Z arrives it'll make three cars..two of which aren't winter compatible and need storage......but which one will have to stay outside? Help!

You are missing so much fun driving you Z in the snow. I did it last year. I had to drift up the street, very fun.

Hmm..yeah its fun but a few years back I 'drifted' in to my sisters parked car turning into her road. frown.gif.nothing for christmas from her that year! Since then its frontWD in winter for me!

Well I drive it through lack of choice. Im trying to get a crappy Metro or Fiesta for daily now.

Hello Rik,

Why not consider spending the money on traction controll instead of another car? just an idea..............

Vijay

I as only looking to spend about £50 on a car to last the winter, I just wouldn't trust myself not to be over come with a moment of madness and slide sideways into something!

Hmmmm, yes well that for me is more reason for having TC installed! Cost alot of money to have my "tupperware" fitted and painted and that's the way I wanna keep it.

Only decent car in the snow is a Saab 900 Turbo which I had to drive down the Snake Pass in thick snow a few years back.

Oh and they make excellent submarines aswell when there's been loads of flooding...unlike Toyota Supras which just conk out in 2' of water leaving you stranded! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I speak from experience.

Snow, ice, blizzards, rain, storms, floods, desert sand storms, lazy days cruising with the tops off and blitzing up the drag strips - a Z is for life not just for f*cking summer! Anyway ice is your best oppurtunity to test your reflexes and reactions times - you got to love it.

Z first and anything else is secondary!
