General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Ive just imported a set of 18" Enkei Phelanx alloys from the US. 8x18 front and 10x18 rears. They arrived yesterday and look brilliant! But before i put them on the car is there any kind of polish or sealant i can use on them that will help prevent brakedust and crap gathering on them and make them easier to clean in the future? Also i need tyres, is 225/40 18 on the front and 275/35 18 on the rears correct, and what makes are recommended?

When car been on long run...(motorway etc) stop for fuel etc car is difficult to start...seems to need to cool down before eventually starting. Car (apart from this) running fine. Any advice? Jap TT 92 HKS ind/Blitz Exh/Hybrid turbos/running 1.0 bar only. Regardz

looking to get a induction kit,,what do you guys think of the K&N Range? if fitted would i have to do sum thing with the ecu etc? and what happens with the air intake sensor? Cheers guys :-)

Still a fair bit of work to do... Bonnet Bulge/Vent looking good, you can just see one of the bigger intercoolers on the drivers side. Upgraded headlights and Blitz Induction Kit to fit before the Scarab front goes on. drat!! damn!! and double shit!! i have 13psi boost se-twin induction kit se-chip exhaust stainless and yes detonation!! whats best to do to get rid of it?? was fine with the origional chip, should i try optimax? failling that i will replace my origional ecu!! cheers dewi ap

hey guys, i need some advise on moddin my 300ZX. its a 1990 twin turbo auto uk spec its standard at the mo appart from ebc turbo groove discs all round and green stuff pads. it will soon have a full mongoose system, the next thing i will be lookin at is a induction kit. but i dont know what to go for, and what to do after that. ive been told not to chip the car as i will not be able to add on any boost controllers or anything like that on to the car after as the uprated chips dont be re-programmable. is this true??? I NEED HELP!!!, tell me what mods i should go for that will give me a quick 0-60 and mid range torque. im not fussed about top ends. tha…

Breaks my heart, but the car has to go - I am leaving the country. Car is unmodified UK spec, red, auto, 2+2 TT, 94K, black leather, MOT 'til May, FSH, great wheels, tyres not bad, new discs and pads all round, new battery, autobox replaced by Nissan (with box from 94 car), etc. Asking only £4,250 for a quick sale. Biggest drawback is that I am in Aberdeen at the moment, but if the car doesn't sell via Autotrader in the next fortnight, it will be offered from the midlands.
