I need a better idea of the value of my Z for insurance purposes. She's an unmodified 1990 UK spec TT with about 168k miles. According to the guys at SE she's in better condition that a lot of the imported skips with half the miles that they often get to see.

The powder coating on the wiper arms has started coming off making them look crap and the rubber around the windows and some other areas has faded and gone pale grey. Does anyone know where I can get replacements that won't cost a fortune?

Wow, what can I say? What this guy does with this F40 is nothing short of spectacular. Plus how often would you get the chance to see a crashed F40 rebuilt from the ground up? Engine is a beast! Are You Trailer Trash Trailer Park Test You know you're trailer trash when...... 1. The Halloween pumpkin on your porch has more teeth than your spouse. 2. You let your twelve-year-old daughter smoke at the dinner table in front of her kids. 3. You've been married three times and still have the same in-laws. 4. You think a woman who is "out of your league" bowls on a different night. 5. Jack Daniels makes your list of "most admired people." 6. You wonder how service stations keep their restrooms so clean. 7. Anyone in your family ever died right after saying, "Hey watch this." 8. You think Dom Perignon is a Mafia leader. 9. Your w…

Ok..new to the site so be gentle. Following my other posting I'm looking to buy a good example of a 90-94 TT Coupe. Hopefully low'ish miles (40-60K), all paper work, recipts, service etc..basically doing my best to avoid a shed. What sort of price (and I know this is a fairly 'open' question) should I be looking to pay..does £5k ish sound too high / too low? I've seen relativly low milers of this age for £3.5k but that seems..dare I say it cheap. Difficult question I know..but please..I need a 300! ------------------ Rik

hi, If anyone is available and can help out I need to get a load of air out of my clutch system by bleeding it several times. If you have done this yourself before and are local perhaps you can come over or I can come to you for help. Can't trust nissan, can't drive to far to a 300 specalist as the air in the clutch heats up and disengages it. If possible before Friday 6Sept? Thanks for any advice also, Jez.

Anyone out there Know if this recall applied to the Japanese spec 300zx (1990 registered). My local Nissan dealer charged me £300 when mine failed but have since discovered the unit was the subject of a (voluntary?) recall in the US around 94/95. Tried to get a refund through Nissan GB but they claim they know nothing about it as the recall didn't apply in the UK. As the vehicle is a Japanese import, they suggested I try Nissan in Japan. Anyone else experienced this and is it worth pursuing? Cheers

Does anyone have the logo in bmp, tiff, jpeg etc? I've just got the missus a swept up sewing machine which can do just about anything, (when she learns how) and embroidering the logo would be a good learning curve. I can download straight to the machine and the software sorts it out( with a bit of human intervention) That's her toy. I'll stick with the Z for fun and a triumph 900 for commuting. Seems fair(ish) to me!!

Hi All, I've got some poly bushes to install in my tension rods and just want to make sure I have all I need before I proceed. Are they supposed to have a metal bush/sleeve in the centre?? it seems a bit odd that the one's I have are black plastic only - is this correct? I thought there was an article linked on AndyP's site but can only find the adjustable tension rod install. can anyone point me in the right direction please? Cheers, RobH

I live about 15-20 mins south of Silverstone, and the route I go normally means I approach from the opposite direction to most of the other traffic, and get in a lot quicker and easier, unlike the signposted route from the M1 and M40 If anyone is interested in joining me, fancy meeting up in Buckingham? (easily got to from M1 or M40, nice big Tesco's with Jet wash too!!) That's if I get my door and front bumper sorted in time!!

Yep, another newcomer..but never-the-less can you advise me on the following..even though you've probably heard it all before? What are the different specs' of 300 available to a UK buyer for '90 and newer..I confused myself with the 2+2's, TT's and non turbo versions. I've been looking for a Twin turbo, but am unsure about the "names" they have! Any advice will be greatly appreciated guys. Cheers. ------------------ Rik

Hi all Well I got the parts I needed for what I knew needed doing from Andy, now the car is being worked on as we speak. But as I took it down there, i noticed something odd. When I would try thr brakes, they would be rather..hmmm..CRAP, until I pumped them again..... anyone got any idea what this could be so I can let the garage know to look out for it?? Cheers Matt

Has anyone out there ever had this, or know what it might be? While driving home yesterday both me and the misses had several drops of water drip onto our feet(not a huge amount but enough to get me worried), that seemed to be coming from somewhere near the air vents (left foot drivers side and right foot passengers side). It happened after having been driving for about 2 hours with the aircon on and in fairly heavy traffic and the engine temperature was totally fine if that helps. Question. Is it just internal condensation building up and then driping out and maybe the feeder pipes need cleaning out or re-insulating (if they are insulated in the fi…

No, I’m not going to swap the 300 for a GT4, that would be silly, but a friend of mine is looking to buy a Toyota Celica GT4 (ST205). Does anyone know of any guides of what to look for when buying 2nd hand etc, or even any experiences of ownership? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I know it's a bit late but a big hello to everyone I met at Billing on the Saturday, it was 'Mighty' Mike

Managed to get hold of a new passenger door shell after the thieving toe-rags peeled a hole in mine. I've now got to swap everything over, window, motor, locking mechanism etc. and refit the new door. Has anyone done this before? Any help would be much appreciated. I've taken the 'how to remove door trim and window motor' FAQ from AndyP's tech links, but any other help would be appreciated.

Pulled up at a toll boothe this morning, looked in the RVM as I pulled away only to see lots of black smoke from behind (once I was moving though it did go). Have read about this before but can't remember what could cause it. Its fine when warm and has never 'smoked' like that before. It does not smoke when first starting from cold either. I did boot it a bit from out of a junction (to about 3500rpm) when still cold (naughty boy!) before I noticed the smoke but that was it. Whats the damage then?.

Saw this link on the Oz Forum and it is a daily (now on day 2) update - Pics on upgrading the bodywork on a Z. Looks a good interesting link that Kostas is providing. http://www.apex.net.au/~kostas/bodykit/ ((Yeh, I know - I can't walk straight past a building site either!))
