Alloys

I have a few questions on alloys

1. Has anyone fitted Artec alloys and are they good quality.

2. I have been offered a good deal on some Artec MS108 rims but I have been told I need to fit spacers on the fronts to clear the calipers. Has anyone else fitted spacers with their alloys and are there any downsides or is this accepted practice.

3. Has anyone used the firm Coventry wheelbase before and were they ok.

Fit spacers to clear the calipers?

That doesnt sound right. Or is it me?

The wheels obviously aren't the correct offset to fit a Z but spacers shouldn't really be a problem I wouldn't have thought.

yeah id say wrong offset, your likely to get rubbing on lock if the wheels stick out too far, also it might look dodgy frown.gif

Yep,

The offset on the wheels they are selling you is wrong. Do not fit spacers, they cause all sotrs of problems.

You want +35 offset to be correct. This will clear the caliper with no problems.

ive got a jap import that came with spacers under the standard wheels, ive had no probs with them!!!!!

I am not sure about fitting spacers either although they are only 10 mm. I think I will go back to the drawing board and try and get alloys with proper offsets
