My Z has been burning a bit of oil so I decided to top it up a bit before it went for it's oil change! Anyway I think I might have got carried away a bit and topped it up a bit more than necesarry! What effect will this have on the car?

Generally not good, likely to blow oil seals and potentailly smoke a lot more. I'd double check the level and siphon/drain some off to make it correct.

How do I drain the oil?

open the sump plug slightly. A little messy, but I would imagine that's the only way of doing it.

or pull out the dipstick and use a long straw - try not to swallow it though as it's not very good for you...
