Dammit Zed!! Well I fitted the series 2 PTU I got from Courtesy a month ago - and today stuck in traffic on the M25(quite hot day) she stumbled, then lost power, wouldnt rev then died! (misses was not happy) Like my old PTU problem I waited 30 mins for everything to cool down, restarted and we were off again! What other components could be affected by heat to cause this cut out? Fuel related(as there was a strong smell of petrol when the car was running)? Thanks lads, Trev

While I was stuck in traffic 2 weeks ago while on holiday, my 300 overheated. With my 300 now at SE, they have quoted me £2500 to repair the engine, as the heat of the water has ucked the cylinder head or something, and I need to know how reasonable this quote is, or if there is someelse in Essex able to do this work. ( I choose SE as I live in Maldon anyway, and they do know 300's) Cheers to anyone who can help.

With recent shit that's been going on with these theiving tw**s. I'm sure someones alarm didn't even go off with the bood lid open. I just think it would be an idea for people to test their alarms once evry month or so, to make sure they actaully go off. As Bob has said over and over again, it's not how good the alarm is, it's how good the installer is. Just an idea......... Vijay [This message has been edited by vijay (edited 03-09-2002).]

My Z is in the dealers at the mo and the mechanic who deals with my baby all the time "thinks" that there is a very very slight big end "rattle" when dropping the revs from @ (I think) 3000. If I go for an engine rebuild to cure this plus a few mods who/where does anyone recommend, preferably a dedicated ZX garage like grasshopper but open to any ideas..... Please bear in mind that me & the Z are in Cornwall!

Hi Again, Thought I was going to plough straight through a roundabout this AM. Thought I'd left plenty of time for braking but after the initial grab, the brakes just faded to nothing - no matter how hard I pushed, ended up with both feet on the brake pedal and only just made it :-( Is this most likely down to sh*t pads, fluid, brake lines or air in the pipes - probably a combination...? Cheers!! RobH

Hi All, Having some fun on the way into work with a BMW 530 this morning I managed to eject a huge amount of fuel. Turned out the guy was coming to my place of work and he pointed it out - he said I'd lost about 2 litres while cornering on a mini roundabout... The tank was 3/4 full and the fuel seems to have escaped via the overflow. This might explain why my car spins so easily in the wet - fuel on the tyres (?) Does anybody else suffer from this 'undocumented feature' or do I have a problem??? Cheers RobH

About 4 weeks ago 3 little scrots decided to break into my workshop and help themselves to £8k worth of gear. I have now managed to get the names and addresses of the little ****s who did it aswell as the tosser selling it. So, do i call the boys in and go round and give them the hiding of a lifetime or accept the loss and be sencible thinking of my Mrs and the fact they don`t have to be Ironside to find out where i live. The gear is all insured so that`s not a problem, it is the principle that these shits can help themselves. I have thought about leaving it 6 months then going in so they don`t know where it`s come from. Need help making the decision as my bl…
