I'm organising a group buy on Front Camber Correction Kits for all of us with front inside tyre wear. A lot of Z's suffer from camber out of specs. With too much negative camber the car doesn't drive in a straight line very well, has less tread on the road and the insides are worn out very fast. The reason for this can be wear or damage in the suspension, the use of lowering springs or non-standard wheels. This is an alignment problem which can't be solved at your local tyre centre because the camber can't be adjusted on a Z. The Kit contains 4 brackets which replace the original ones, 20 shims for adjusting the camber in steps over a wide range (up to 2 …

Am I on my own here? Shell Optimax has no performance/economy gain at all If I use normal unleaded it seems no different than paying almost 10p a litre more. ------------------ KEEP IT SIDEWAYS;).

I was up at PPS yesterday doing a few bits on the Z monster and it's starting to look the dogs danglies. All the kit is on and just needs sanding down and painting Got my new zorst from Grasshopper/JP Exhausts and it's looking awesome. 2.5" pipe straight through from front with no cats, hardly any baffles in the back boxes and 5" tips The veilside side skirts have blended into the wide arches superbly - a bit like Andy E's white monster Z but slightly differently and IMHO better looking. Got the Razo shifter fitted which was a bit fiddly but fairly straight forward. Discovered another difference between Jap import and UK cars when fitting the b…

I had one head and both gaskets replaced back in March when my oil system dumped into the coolant. Now I suspect I'm getting blowthrough of gas from the engine into the coolant which I suspect may be the head gasket again. i) Could it be anything else. ii) If it the head gaskets what are my chances of getting it fixed free of charge by SE who did the original work. Grumble!!

I had an airlock in my coolant system that I think I've at last managed to get rid of. Ran the engine with the climate control system on max. Reved the engine several times while refillig via the filler cap with the other radiator cap off. One hell of a lot of air came out in large gulps BUT leaving her idling I still see what I would describe as "Micro Bubbles" continuously appearing at idle. Could this still be trapped air or is it something much worse?

It was a joyful experience. We played tick for about 10 miles, he turned off down the Ripley turn off andI was heading for the Alfreton turn off where I got stuck in 30 mins of stand still traffic cus somebody decided that they wanted to jump of the bridge. Apparently it took the police nearly 3 hours to get him/her down. What struck me as funny was the fact that I got chatting to the drivers of the cars/trucks around me and we were being very pleasant to one another. However, normally, if any of these people were to cut us up, we wouldn't think twice obout giving them the finger. Or maybe thats just me! Anyway, anyone off here?

Quite right m8ey (1) - at the opening of the Sydney Bridge Club they were fishing them out of the main sewers every half-an-hour! Quite right m8ey (2) - restraint, respect, moderation. Quite right m8ey (3) - good lock down, craig. More respect. Lastly, there used to be a pub opposite Honda Europe in Caversham called the "Moderation" - so you could have said, yes dear, I am going out drinking with the mates tonight but only in moderation... - Gio

I floored it this afternoon to get away from a prat in a Nova that was tailgating me. He soon disappeared, problem is it was in a cloud of white/light grey smoke that came from my exhaust rather that into the distance. Any ideas. It's panic time. On the funny side, you should have seen his facxe when the smoke cleared It wasn't the usual early morning smoke that you get on damp days because I has already done about 20 miles. I floored it again about 5 minutes later without any smoke. There is no smoke when idling. I'm currently stuck in safety boost I know the cat has collapsed. Perhaps I'm clutching at straws, but could it have been a cloud of the ca…

Hallo assembled gurus. I'm just checking in advance of a service because the J imports have a slightly different schedule to the UK cars (something to do with miles vs km). Since I bought my Z in Aug 99, I've had the following service intervals: 44,000mi 71,300km A service Aug 99 (incs timing belt) 51,500mi 82,700km C service Feb 00 56,500mi 91,000km C service Jun 00 (mistake but there you go) (incs spark plugs) 62,000mi 100,000km A service Dec 00 67,300mi 108,000km B service May 01 72,700mi 117,000km A service Nov 01 79,000mi 126,700km C service Apr 02 next scheduled is 85,000mi 137,000km which should be the official 140,000km service. …

I am After getting a new exhaust for my non turbo 300zx,,because it is a 1990 is it true that you can do away with the cat?? Is the gas sensor before the cat/in the cat /after the cat? And could any body tell me what the 2 pipes that go into the exhaust just before the cat are for,,,they go on from either side and look like they come from the engine,,,,i take it i would have to get an exhaust that had inlets for these unknown pipes. I cant get cat back exhausts because there is a small hole just before the cat :-(( Could i just cut the cat out and replace it with a straight through pipe and keep the existing exhausts? cheers guys [This message has be…

From time to time, some sick perve sends people here porn spam. Since I changed to Outlook (sorry) I get mountains of complete spam from tiresome no-brains (no I don't want to join a program, rip DVDs or see "stuff". Your mortgage rates in the US are cr*p, my parts are quite big enough for me and the missus, thank you and on the rare occasions where the opportunity arises, my performance is alarmingly adequate (assuming I haven't got to the third bottle of Nuits St Wogga Wogga)). If you're as fed up as I am, you might like to visit www.mailwasher.com (which gets 5 stars from .net mag) or www.cloudmark.com for their SpamNet blacklist stuff (4 stars). I par…
