removal of intake manifold

Where can I find info for removal of the intake manifolds? My engine has a lot of miles on it, and I get the feeling there's still a lot of junk in there that I'm missing.

    that is to say, I've recently cleaned the throttle bodies (several times) but I don't think I've gotten all of the carbon deposits off... the previous owner of the car was one of those gas 'n go types, and it shows
