Not alot of power

Got myself a Z over the weekend but seems to have 2 probs.

1. Speedo doesnt always read correct, but after seaching the forum i have an idea what to do.

2. There doesn't seem to be that much power in 1st and 2nd. I'd of thought the revs would rocket up and ud accelerate hard.

My rover 620Ti i think accelerates harder up to about 50. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Rob.

Stupid question is it a turbo?

Turbo cars you have to keep the revs high to pull off quick, the turbos only really work at 3000 rpm.

Yea it's a UK Manual. To be more precise the power doesnt seem to great at higher revs. Its running standard boost (not safety boost) and yet it would take a while to get it above 5.5K revs.

In the higer gears its not so apparent.

It kinda just seems it takes a long time to get the engine revving that high. Ideas?

Thanks

Ok after driving it again it seemed pretty sweet...panic over. Maybe i wasnt driving it quite right.

I think i might stick in a new air filter tho to let it breathe a touch better.
