What mods are worthwhile while the engine is out ?

I have a slight oil leak. I am thinking this may require engine removal to sort it.

If engine out was necessary, for this or any other reason, WHAT MODS WOULD BE WORTHWHILE DOING AT THIS TIME ? Note my engine is stock, but I would like to mod it at some stage - exhaust/airfilter/ECU/exhaust wrap/etc.?

MY plan so far with my Z has been to wait until something major needed doing before starting serious engine mods.

Fit EGT gauge sensors if you want them

Remove EGR system if you wish.

Does an underdrive pulley make your sound system suffer from lack of power ? My mechanic didn't know what an U/D pulley was !!

I thought it was an American thing ?

I suppose it could do but why the americans should like underpowered stereos I don't know... biggrin.gif

you mean power mods? I am considering replacing my engine, and I am looking at the same issues.

Depends on your budget, NA vs TT, etc...

The stock turbos are aimed at minimizing turbo lag, but not whore's power. You might consider new headers, new pulleys... dunno, are you planning a rebuild?
