Trax 0 - 60 times

Did anyone see the HKS decorated Skyline R34 that apparently did 0-60 in just over 3 seconds? I'm sure he had a few mods under the bonnet (uprated air filter???.......), but could one of those things really go that fast? To be honest most of the times seemed a little optimisitc, although maybe I'm being a harsh as it's hard to tell exactly how modifed each car is.

I still think I should have hauled my (standard)Z out of the car park and recorded a 4 second time though.........

Colin at our bit said he clocked in a sub-five second... didn't get a chance to chuck mine down there... NO BRAKES!!

i have a video clip of a 300zx twin turbo doing a 0-400 run in well under 10secs which if you work that out a 10second car has to have some 0-60

Yes I watched Colin do a nice 4.78s run and it is not massively modified. (pulleys, exhaust, induction and traction control are all he has fitted if my poor old memory serves me, can't remember what boost he is running though). Another black 300 did a 6sec run but in the car park he was blowing a smoke out of one side of the exhaust...£££'s

Fastest of the day was a Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth @

2.93 seconds!!!!

I know of the car, it's modified but not had 1000s spent on it, and it's reliable (for a Cossie). Wow.

Some good times recorded.

Girlie in a Vette did a nice 5.5 secs and a burgundy Cavalier Turbo 4x4 clocked a 5.1 which was pretty cool.

Apparently the 0-60 wasnt properly calibrated and people were triggering the timing beam at 5-10mph - apparently.

the fact that there is some speculation is there makes it dodgy.

Still, im sure the cars were mighty fast whatever the oh so useful 0-60 time gives biggrin.gif

and I wasnt there, so i couldnt cast my critical eye anyways, Im just fuelling the rumour, thats all! wink.gif

I have to admit, I was slightly disappointed this year with the lack of company cars going up and down the strip. I seem to remember a few Mondeos and Vectras last year, complete with suit jackets hanging in the back................... If I've still got the Mondeo next year, I'm pulling out the air filter and having a go...........

How fast was the AA van 0-60mph....with a red 300ZX on the back? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Did anyone take their car on the track this year or were they all scared of being beaten by the Poopras again? biggrin.gif
