HP icrease???

I recently found this site...very cool. Anyways i own a 1994 convertible 300zx and just put an INJEN intake on it and got a very noticable HP increase i'm looking for your opinion on what you did to your 300 that got you the most noticable increase in other words what gave you the most bang for your buck? Thanks for you advice.

I would love to raise the boost but unfortunatly the convertibles never came with turbos

Ahhh, should have read that more closely ! redface.gif

In that case you have to stick with the usual stuff, exhaust and chip. Not many chips available for the NA's so it comes down to a JWT from the US or perhaps something from Hitec in Aus or even something from Japan (if you're feeling brave)

Yeah the exhaust and chip will be next also been told about the ultra light flywheel and pulley sets from U.R. what about ported throttle bodies and mass air flow sensor. I'm also debating the bottle but cant afford a new engine so that might be some scarry s@#t

You are very limitted with a NA. I hear the most you can get out of it is about 400bhp and that is spending alot of money. If I was you try a NA-->TT conversion of get a TT engine in there. Have you been in a TT?

If not I think you should.

unfair, 400 bhp is pretty darned good

300 isn't that difficult... be sure to replace the exhaust header and get a good cat-back exhaust system... full synthetic oil and high flow air filters both help a bit, in my experience. I haven't gotten a new ECU, but JWT is supposedly good for another 12...

I'm planning on selling my 90 NA, but I might buy another Z later on... probably a twin turbo. There's something to be said for that boost. It's a lot easier to boost hp on the twin turbos. And they offer four-wheel steering.

The 400bhp NA was in the US and it had loads and loads and loads and loads of money spent on it. wink.gif

Could have made a TT 800bhp probably with that money.
