Tom, safest way and more accurat without boost spikes is an electronic boost controller, and as for how high boost, as your stock, go beyond 17psi and you'll blow yer rings before the end caps come off, even though they are platic

Zeds don't like high boost unless you got other mods and the correct fuelling to match.

in addition to what smithy has mentioned, you also need to chip the car so the fuelling mixture is correct at those higher boost levels. also get a HKS air intake as well and straight through exhaust and then your sorted.
