Just remembered, when i was fitting bushes to my motorbike shocks i used hot water(not quite boiling) to soak the bushes in to soften them. this makes them much more plyable. with a touch of grese in the tension rod hole, a hos bush and a big vice they should slip in a treat!
Hope this will help some one who is sweating there ass of trying to get them in!
