Anyone done one? If so any ideas where darn sarf I could get it done other than powerflow?

Good Morning Peeps, Saturday I am replacing my front shocks with second had good condition ones as my NSF is goosed. Do any of you have any suggestions on replacing any/all the bushes/ball joints at all as I also have a wondering steering problem, see here :- http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=58611&highlight=strange+steering. Anybody point me in the right derection on what to get ? i.e. part numbers, where to get them, cost etc. Is there a 'kit' available. Just looking at what could/should or shouldn't need replacing. Anyone got any suggestions for an alternative manual gear knob? All the ones i've seen so far are too short and the ones that look long enough don't have a big enough slot to go over the thicker part at the bottom of the gear stick.

Hi to everyone.. been wondering... Am going to put a decent sized sized ICE install in my zed.... does the weight aspect make a big difference to general performance of the car? Does say adding another 30-40 kg in boot weight hurt performance?

I got greedy and now have one set of dual exit exhaust then got meself a single exit. What I wanna know is there any real advantage of having a single over the dual exit as it was originally designed with. Only thing I can think of is that single exit is lighter but since your running both exhausts exits down one pipe you have a slight increase in back pressure? Not sure what I'm going on about now so hopefully someone else can tell me otherwise! :mac1: :hyper:

Hi everyone. Can anyone please tell me where the speed sensor is,the speedo works most of the time and then packs up for a day or two.With plod getting a bit hot where i live it would help if i know what speed i am doing. many thanks. :headvswal

When I start the car on a morning, no problems and choke is working fine. After maybe half a mile, it's as if the choke has gone off too early and runs like a bag of shite. After maybe 5 mile, when she's hot, it seems to be fine. Any ideas? Cheers Steve

Hi guys, well I'm staying in the country now and so have decided to keep the Z rather than selling her, so a few problems need rectifying! First one is the brakes. Whenever I depress the brake pedal I get a loud "click" sound coming from the front wheels, happens everytime even when warmed. Any ideas?? Cheers in advance. Jon

Hi ive got a problem with charging system basicly car is fine when im driving,but if i leave it over night for a couple nights its flat, however batt light inside car never comes on and have tryed new batt. could it be draining and would i be able to check with a multimeter or anything else i can use before i change alternater all help/advice appreciated.

Had noisy tapets for about a year, and was going to get them redone with the help of a remortgage, but Jeff at Zedworld said try the noisy tappet additve from harry halford. well bless my soul if it didnt just do the trick, not straight away though. Put the whole bottle in and after a couple weeks, ( dont use that often now ) noise gone!! quiet as a mouse. Worth trying if you have the same problem. I did it just afte an oil change, so may have to add again on next change but so far so good. :hyper:

Im in the middle of replacing my passenger side wing mirror unit. I have the old one of. But where is the wiring for the new one - do I have to remove the door card to get at it?? Or does it run in under the dash? Thanks for any help.

My Abs light is on, and has been for some timw now, Where should I be looking to find a problem, or is there a check i can run to find a problem? I ran an Ecu check - nothing coming up. Cheers.

Hi saw you last night in Ifield just comming out of Charlwood, I was in my black SWB......

The car failed its MOT this morning, not too worried as they are not major things. Got a few questions though so I can get it ready for the retest: 1) No side lights (I knew about that :rolleyes: ) - are the jap spec side lights/fog lights two bulbs, or two filaments in one bulb? what bulb do i need and where can i get it? 2) n/s steering gaitor is split - again where from and how much labour am i looking at? 3) one of the rear number plate lights don't work, how do i get to it and change the bulb? 4) Need to adjust the handbrake - 5% efficient apparently lol, is there a guide? hi fellas i replaced a blown fuse and low and behold my mirrors now fold in again and my intermittent wipe works fine ...only wierd thing now is there is a strange tinging noise like a tin relay making or breaking ..the clock is dimming and coming bright again in a pulse that accompanies the ting sound and it doesnot remember what time it is when i turn the engine off .....i am going to rip the dash apart and maybe i can find what it is and at the same time fit the aliminium effect dash kit ..( will post a how to on this when done ) does anybody out there have or had a similar problem that you could point me in the right direction once in amongst the cables an…

Apparently the w ankers where about round his way and they chucked paint over his car. So he shot the f uckers with his paintball gun after chasing them down in said car. From what his missus tells me a few of them decided to stop and confront him not knowing what he had and got some rough justice. 3 hoppers worth

Hi guys just a thought Ive just bought a set of G-Force coilovers and was wondering if i will need a camber correction kit for these? Anybody fitted coilovers have problems? :confused:

Can anyone tell me how to remove a standard leather gear knob from a UK manual. Have tried allsorts even as far as taking the surround out and looking underneath!! I thought it would be a standard screw in but is too tight for that even with glue. it turns a bit but then gets tight again. Am I just being stupid?!?!?!?

Very nice with '98/'99 spec rear spoiler. Didn't get a chance to see any more detail - but there can't be many of those in Braunton!!!!! ;)
