As above, as I suffer from people in my local Nissan dealership being the most arogant wan*ers who are very un helpfull and over priced.

I am going to fit a new thermostat as I think mine is knackered as taking a long time to heat up, I have searched the twin turbo net forum, but the instructions I found where for a T/T and not very clear, can any of you guys point out a better diagram and step by step instructions. Many Thanks.

what a pain it is to fit a c/l door locking motor in one of these cars.... does anyone have any pics of the best location for one? cheers

im looking to get some boost jets for my mate ,he wants about 13-14 psi any ideas where we can get some boost jets?

my waste gate hoses dont seem to be connected, their blanked off with screws? apexi boost adjuster connected to intercooler large pipes where waste gate hoses normally do?? is this normal? cheers

Hi all just wondering if anyone could help! Had a perfectly good head unit in the car carozzeria think its pioneer! but it wouldnt pick up radio signals maybee because its import dont know! so decide to put in sony one ive got! took out centre console and it was like a box of snakes!!!!!! wires everywhere!!!! i have an adapter from sony unit but the pin plug dosent seem to fit the zeds original plus i think ive locked out the head unit now so no music :headvswal can anyone explain what i need as this is very frustrating aghhhhh! Insurance renewal plopped on the mat a few days ago. With Lifesure (broker) policy through AON (underwritten by Royal Sun Alliance) £567. Call AON directly, they can't poach Lifesure business but if you email them on classiccarsdudley@aon.co.uk to request a quote, they're allowed to talk to you = £504 for exactly the same policy Call Lifesure back - they have to go away and think about it. Got the call just now, Lifesure using Highway = £502. Job done - ta. Moral: always get more than one insurance quote every time you're coming up to renewal.

Right im going to de-cat my z and pray i dont get the blue smoke... does it matter that i have a swb? or are they both the same? im also looking at getting the down pipes as well and doing all the work myself, has anyone done this and is it quite easy? cheers all :D :bow: :bow:

looking for spring reccomendations i'm not sure what springs i have at the mo as i bought them off another member on here but they are around 40mm drop (the springs are red) using standard shocks but the fronts are a little to low (the top of the tyre level with the arch) whats springs are reccomended for the z dont want to go back to stock but not as low as present many thanks kev

hi im pretty new on here since buying my first zx. its an import and im about to do the oil cooler upgrade. i have a new engine oil cooler and will be using the old one for the auto transmission fluid. one question what is best for flushing the old oil out of the cooler? thanks

after reading "Back-pressure - what's that all about then?" and folowing the links there is a bit on there compairing jap-us-uk spec cars.... and on the jap one it says there is a 1.5" restrictor before main cat.... surely this is going to reduce power?!

Need to get a 7/8 seater wagon for the missus and kids and was wondering what u recon the best buys out there are . Main preferences are I need 7/8 seats , preferably 60k miles or less , and up to 10k max . the mrs loves the chrysler voyager too..but not to sure on parts pricing if it needs it??

Hi all, I am doing some research for a computer game we are developing and have a few questions regarding the 300ZX. We are featuring the 1989 Fairlady Z TT 2 seater and 1998 Fairlady Z Version S TT 2 Seater. The cars will be based on JDM spec. 1/ Is there much body panel differences between the 2+2 and 2 seater? 2/ Can somebody point me in the right direction of the front light configuration? I ahve seen a few photos and seen a few different light configurations specifically the indicator lights. After every one I had in stock getting snaffled up by customers :rant: :D I managed to fit one to my own car! The quality of these units is second to none and I believe these are one of the most important upgrades you can fit to your zed!

When I had Windows 98 on my PC it would shut itself down automatically. Now I've upgraded to XP it's stopped doing it! Can't find anything in Help, as per usual. It's bugging me, anyone know how I can make my machine do it?! :confused: Mark

Hi Guys Looking for some advise. I own a 1993 300ZXTT UK spec manual. I am about to fit De-cats,new RPS max clutch & flywheel. I have drained gearbox, but oil seems crappy. Want to flush crap out of gearbox, diff and piping to cooler. As over 12 years, small particles & crap must build up. what do you recommend i use to flush appart from fresh gearbox oil? i was thinking of using petrol as a flushing agent. Plan is remove gearbox, fill up with petrol, roll around to flush, then drain out, fit clutch flywheel, then refit. Then remove diff, fill with petrol, wash around and drain. Then force petrol through cooling lines to clean. Is this a go…

I need some screws for my Z. 1 for the dashboard and 1 for the air intake cover where the Z emblem is. Do I need to go back to Nissan for them or is there somewhere else I can find them. Thanks Konrad

Hi everyone, OK, so I've just been reading a thread about dual- vs single-exhausts, and people kept mention back pressure, and how you have to have the optimum amount to get the best from the engine. But my naive understanding was that back-pressure acts against the exhaust gases being expelled by the engine, so that in an ideal world to get the best out of your engine you really want no back-pressure whatsoever, because then there's less resistance for it to get rid of the exhaust. So, what's the story? Do you need it or don't you? And how much is enough? I'm now confused. Thanks, Bart

Never had any problem with the car it is a M reg TT Auto with only 38k. But this mornng after a night of heavy rain and wind, when I drove the car at approx 60mph it beganchanging up and down gear continuously in a very jerky way, it did the same on kickdown, but did not do it all of the time. About 6 times in my 20ml journey. Could not tell if engine was misfiring due to jerking from up & down gear change. Drove home tonight and nothing! Anyone any ideas? Would like to know in case there is a major problem somewhere.... Thanks
