Not really looked into the Hicas stuff yet but I reckon it must weigh a bit, don't want it for drifting so I need to know the procedure fo rgetting rid, also anyone got any experience of ABS removal? Was going to do this when fitting the hydraulic ebrake. Any guidance would be a help!

I think my shocks are f*cked from reading into why the rear of my car jumps and skips all over the place...I have recieved my rear shocks from a trader on here and have mark at the zen garage to install them. Can anyone advise me what I should expect to pay to get 4 wheel tracking sorted and if anyone knows where in the SE near gatwick I can get it done..... Regards, Matt

I recently fitted Mongoose exhaust with decat pipes also. My car has been hesitating for a while, when cold, and I think I can trace it back to when exhaust system was changed. Question I have is: The two sensors that go after the cat were cut and just taped up the underside of the body. Is this the correct procedure? and will these sensors still be working, could they be affecting the running of the car? Hope this makes sense. Cheers Steve

Hello can someone point me in the direction of a diagram of the wing mirrors. I need to take mine apart and see whats keeping it from closing. It starts to close but it does not finish. My drivers side one operates properly and it fits snuggly to the housing where the passenger side one does not fit snuggly to the housing so I think there is something loose or borken that is keeping it from oprerating properly or even sit properly. Anyone have experience of restarting an overheated engine? I cut the engine as soon as I could but it won't restart again, the engine spins quite happily and doesn't make any funny noises, there's spark going to the cylinders and I know at least one of them has compression, also everything reads code55. I think that its overfuelling but I can't be certain, also I can't think of anything that might be cooked enough to stop it starting without throwing an error code.

I need an 'adaptor plate', is that right. How do they work ? do both the stock and additional temp guage senders both fit into the plate and both go into the water flow :confused: a picture would be nice. Also, where would I be able to get one from and what sort of money we talking ? CheerZ Paul

Hi has any one bought a nismo oil cap off ebay, do they seal properly, also could you recommend anyone there seems to be a few traders in usa our can i get one from our traders, has anyone used jdmhondaparts there price was £14.99+ £6 deli which is ok but he mentioned there may be a extra charge so wasnt to sure cheerz.

Sometime over the last 2 weeks i've bottomed out the zed on something, most likely a speed bump which has cracked my side skirts and bent the front wing out on one side. Is there anyone in the lancashire area that can sort the front wings out? I presume they can just be straightened and its not too hard? I'm not too fussed about the side skirts as i'm running the car into the ground anyway, but the wings look stupid as there is a big gap on one side.

My mate Dwarfy (on this forum i think) has told me that a boost controller can lower the boost level so i can get some more mpg. Will a GREDDY PROFEC B SPEC II do the job. And this one from ebay:- Ebay -> Greddy Profec B Spec II With a stock 300ZX turbo how much more can you get out of the turbos without 'serious' damage.. whatever that is! I would get the boost controller installed by Zcentre in Tamwroth. Cheers

hi guys wondering if anyone could help? hicas light came on week after i bought the car topped it up and the light has stayed off for about a mounth and a half, ive head that the power steering and hicas are the same system, if this is so then why does the light only say HICAS and not both?????? guess just to make diagnosing harder ey!!! anyway anyone know where to find a hose diagram for both hicas and power steering for when i go looking for leaks!!!!!! oh joy ha ha!!! sorry for rambling guys anyone with any answers to this please reply cheers !!!!!!!!!

I've seen these mentioned a few times and must admit, they sound interesting. Can anyone tell me what exactly are the benefits of fitting one? My Zed is totally unmodded under the bonnet so would one of these make any difference? Also on a slightly different note, does anyone know if it's ok to tow an auto Zed (no more than about 3 miles) if it's in neutral? Any help greatly appreciated. Ta The Dirty One....

Basically I pulled away a bit sharpish....the rear wheels started to jump around and banged a bit as i gripped n jumped...all seemed fine untill a couple of minutes later when the power/revs started jumping around...it would cut to below 2000 rpm and then come back again taking about 1/2 a second for every pulse... The car would tickover fine.....and reach 2500rpm exactly and then seem to cut like a switch. Couldnt find any pipes loose...so wiggled all connectors-PTU/TPS/MAF/timing thingy...lol(CAS?)....it seemed to work and I drove on... Five minutes later it did it again.... This time wiggling all connectors didnt seem to work so it must of been a fluke last tim…

Saw a white K plate Zed going into Tesco.s in Hucknall , Notts on bonfire night about 6.30pm

damn im so fed up my z now seems to have developed a dislike to curtain junctions and stalls this is getting a bit embarrasing.

been out running wires through the z for a few new projects and found my passenger side foot well soaked which i think is a targa seal,but i also found that the well under the back seat had a puddle of water,any ideas anyone?also on the drivers side i'm getting water getting in to the top pod of my pillar pod cant see where it getting in but is that possible targa seal as well? and finally i've got a fuel smell on the pasenger side front round the headlight area is that where the carbon cannister is? can it be bypassed? thanks for any help in advance kev

just a quick one i found these two bolts loose in my bay, on the passenger side. they go through the balance bar. will this cause a problem as the bar isnt tight to the engine block. there is nothing coming out of there and the other bolt is tight , just wondering if this is a problem? im going to put a .5 mm bigger set of bolts in there to replace the old ones as the thread in the hole wont take it anymore, so i may need to tap new threads and fit new bolts. should i do this straight away or is it not an immediate problem?

hi anyone know if the flashy snooper s6 neo is worth a buy ment to be top of the range model! mines abit out of date now {s5r}but its saved me points in the past! just wondering if anyone has got 1 or seen 1 in action as i seen them dirt cheep in costcos for £180 all new normally bout £300 upwards cheers :bow: ;)

I temporarily messed around with mine and the car was quick, but it's back in the middle and drives sh1t slow again. My question is, is there any way to tell if the timing is out apart from the timing gun? e.g engine noise, rough idling. etc. when i moved the cas to the left the car was running sweet, no noise, idling perfect.....and most of all quicker. :confused:

After a run in the z tt I can here something dripping onto a hot surface under the bonnet, water or fuel :confused: I think fuel, sounds like its coming from around the engine oil dip stick area, but I cant see anything, it lasts for about 3 to 4 minutes after switch off, any ideas guys?? Also while im on here, any ideas how those rear spoilers come off?, are they stuck on??

Hi everyone does anybody know where I can get a replacement PTU other than nissan? I think mine is starting to play up, very poor idle and struggling to start. Anybody know what I can use to clean the connectors with?

can anyone tell me if a 1989 zx rear wheel bearing is the same as a 1991 zx rear wheel bearing.as my auto shop only lists up to 89.
