what on earth is located in the roof console? every now and then i get a buzzin noise from there??? is there a solenoid or something under the light console?? :confused:

Hi guys, I have the following APEXi gear fitted in my ZXTT : AVCR AFC-II RSM ( rev / speed meter ) I was playing about with them the other day and i'm sure i've reset them back to default settings :headvswal do you know who would be the best to re-program them and tune up on the rolling road. many thanks Andy...... :bow:

I need the point of view of experts. I did some research on old posts, without success. Maybe it's a normal behavior, but it seems strange to me. FYI, my oil sending unit is completely new, I drilled a bigger hole in it (about 1.2mm), without damaging it of course ! It means I can see the oil pressure fluctuations more quickly. When starting from cold, the oil pressure rises up to 7kg/cm2, no problem. Then, I start to drive the car, the oil pressure stands between 4 and 6 and as soon as the rev goes above 3000 (let's say about 3000), the oil pressure drops to 0 (a true 0 !) and as soon as the rev goes down below 3000, it's between 4 and 6 again. can i do the heater matrix removal on mine by following the same procedure as shown in this info? http://www.aus300zx.com/tech/heater/heatercore.htm or do i need to remove the clutch pedal also? as its jap. i dont want to take the dash off unless i have to.

as above when applying the brake to slow down i can hear tap tap tap tap..! and sometimes feel it throgh the steering wheel too. have checked all the whell nust and they are all present and tight as a nuns arse. any ideas?

Runnig problem when cold this time. Had it about 4 or 5 times now, car idles fine no problem but when tring to drive I get the odd splutter and cough but no backfire out the zorsts. Only does it when started in the morning when cold i.e. left overnight. Only does it for around 2 - 3 minutes. Any ideas :confused: CheerZ Paul

My new ZX i got last friday has the turning circle of a super tanker as 245 tyres are on the front as well. And it has been lowered. When i am turning around or making a sharp turn the wheels hit the wheel arch. This really sends a shiver down my spine. I think i might get the ZX unlowered which would help a bit. What is yow thoughts on this? :headvswal

Had a problem with the Zed yesterday. Started it up, it would rev up to about 1500rpm then drop right down momentarily to below 500rpm (normally cutting out). It was also cutting out when you reach the bite point to move off, you'd have to give it loads of throttle to get the car moving. Anyone have ideas to why it might be doing this? It starts up fine on the first turn of the key but then it does this... Cheers.

Would a car immobiliser have a problem with a turbo timer letting the engine stay on and idle? I think it would.

just looking on demontweeks at these as mite get round to plumbing in my gauge. have the autometer ultra lite gauge and sandwhich plate already fitted, the question is how long a pipeline :confused: they come in 4,6,10 an 15ft I was thinkin 6 will this be long enough :confused: also what connections :confused: on the pipelines 1 npt/1 bsp flat 1bsp tap/ 1bsp flat 1 npt/1 bsp tap 2 bsp flat 2 bsp tap cheers

...just wired up the fog light wrongly (it was working before I dismantled it) and now I've no rear lights and the headlights are on main beam only. I've changed a blown 10amp fuse in footwell and checked everything else and it looks ok. Any ideas would be most welcome. cheerz Jack

Hi All. Just taken out the Nissan CD player & it has left this hole (see photo) I went to the car audio center & they do plastic box that looks like it was made for about 50p.....so that aint going in. What can I put in the hole that will look good ? PS & don't say my D***......... :D

was just gonna go fit the Brembo GTR34 calipers , discs and pads on the zed then thought, Will the standard zed bolts fit as i only got the calipers and no bolts or anything with them or will i need to buy them ?? Also anything else i need b4 i rip off the old ones?? also where can i get em from in that case and any idea on price ?

Hi All, My car is idling at about 1300rpm, i've set the TPS, removed/cleaned/refited the idle valve, if i remove the yellow connector off the idle valve it has no effect, can i assume it is knackered. Thanks Baz

hi guys can anyone post a pic indicating where the fuel lines are in the engine bay pls, im getting a smell of petrol from time to time and the advice ive been given is to check the tightness of the lines. cheers
