im thinking of having some new exhausts made in cardiff, just wondering if its worth it getting rid of the cats? i take it, it wont affect my mot's? also is it worth it on my sliktop? im looking to get that nice tubi sound so looking for a custom build. yes or no? wanna get rid of the single exhaust and double things up..

And how different did it make the car feel? Having mine done next week, along with a RPS sport clutch and lightened and balanced flywheel. Thanks Barry

I have been having a problem with the hard ride on my Z. I have just broke my 3rd set of anti roll bar clamps (u shaped ones in the middle). I think this is down to over hard suspension. I can only gess that the car is also lowered but by how much i have no idea. The anti roll bar is also bigger than stock. I gess the roads in Japan must be smoother than here as my fillings are coming lose. I also run 18" wheels on 235/40 tires which cant be helping. Im thinking of going for standard shocks with lowered spings. Unless anyone can give me a better route to go down.

when driving im getting a really really annoying knocking noise from my boot!! its starting to do my head in! any ideas what it can be? iv checked the spare wheel bay etc

I am thinking of getting a short movement gear stick for slicker gear changes. Are these worth it?

This is very odd. Stevemochan was good enough to come down with a Conzult to try fix my car. We connected it and fired the engine up, the timing was coming out at 35deg when cold down to 25deg when warm. The bizarre thing is that when I tried adjusting the CAS, the timing value from the Conzult remained unchanged! I was wondering if the Conzult won't work with an ECU with a JWT chip fitted. The CAS was obviously doing it's job as the engine speed changed when I adjusted the angle of it. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Shaun

Hmmmmmm, help please.Looks like I'll be jobless early next year after busting a gut for the last 17 years :headvswal ,so need to sort this ASAP. Ok really pleased all the belts have been done by Zen garage and after having the lightweight pulley fitted the car runs very well also about to re-fit Greddy profec b 2 back on the car which i'm sure with the pulley should feel quite quick. Also have Mongoose exhaust Apexi filter strut brace front and back ECU upgrade......but thinking what's next to get even more power??? Thinking of taking out the cats but reluctant as don't want to cook the tubs just yet.......any ideas anyone?

i get some sort of vibration everytime i go over 40 seems like its comming from the left rear or front??? its stops at arouns 60-70 is it becasue i need tracking? as my car keeps veering to the left slightly when i let go off the steering. can it be becasue my shocks are gone as one side of my rear arch is higher than the other

Me again!! Right as u know i got a basically standard 1990 NA import manual. I've got 225 45's on the front and 245 45's on the back BUT i don't know if it has the british (slightly wider) WHEELS on the rear. All i know is that its got the 245's on it. What i need to know is how wide can i go on the back cos i need to replace them and 255 45 16's are a lot cheaper than 245 45 16's so i is a thinkin :oD Please help asap cos they're now down to slicks as i forgot to look at them til i broadsided acroos all three lanes of the M6 after a slight aquaplane incident :oS Rich......

Hey guys me again! Just wondering if anyone knows where i can locate a left bank non turbo import o2 sensor as after calling nissan and hearing the price i laughed at them!! Apparently there are three types and they difffer between the uk and import models and the turbo and NA modela. please help...i'm lost again!! Can anyone help me, my car only just passed the MOT the c/o emissions were high, was told to change the o2 sensors which I have tried, made no difference, can the c/o be adjusted ? it is all getting a bit complicated and expensive. any ideas would be very much appreciated, thanks.

Excuse my ignorance in the world of tubbies. Is there a simple way of running my TT without any boost at all? This may sound a strange request but I will be using the Zed as a daily driver for the forseable future. The thought of running without any form of boost control, mixed with a light weight flywheel, stage 1 clutch, N/A biff set up & winter on its way is some what unnerving as my wheels are bloody expensive lol. If it was left purely to my discretion & restraint not to press on the go peddle. I know I will not be able to stop myself when passed by chav boy racer etc. If I have no boost I have no choice, if you see what I mean. Any a…

Done a search on this but not sure :confused: I am going to feed my water temp sensor wire through the bonnet release cable hole. I am unsure where to feed the other wires and vacuum pipes through. I have done a search and think this is the right place to go but can someone please confirm. Ta

After reading jeff tt thread on cambelts im a bit concerned about mine, i got my cambelt done about 4 yrs ago but since then i havnt driven zed much about 20,000 miles max recently took off upper cam cover belt seemed as new should i still get it changed thanx in advance.

Has anybody got the instruction manual for one of these and fitting instructions as my mate has 1 on his zed and it need setting up cheers Richard

hi peeps, ever since i bough my Z as i drive along i can head a blipping noise very similar to the noise made when youleave the lights on after turning the ignition off..! this happens any time, there is no warning light and it never ever goes away until switch the engine off... I have a Blitz IBC Colour Boost Controller, however it needs some sort of extra's to make full use of its abilities, a harness I assume so it can measure oil pressure, temp blah blah blah. Anyone know where I can get one and how much are they? Chris@Greddy, I assume you may know?

Is there such a thing as a good speed convertor or is three months the average life of these things. This ones been in for about three months after about a month the speedo needle was occassionally shooting upto 180 and cutting out engine, tonight needle has gone right past 180 and stuck there :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal
