hi i need 2 look at the levels on the zx and there are 2 yellow dip sticks are they both oil and how do i check the power steering level is it a hot or cold reading

Where can I get a list of the z acronyms like wha does swb mean and things like that. As you can tell I am new to this

Just fitted new ECU from Andy at Supercarparts and there is now something seriously wrong ... Seems to start ok but when I put the foot on the throttle it seems as though I am running out of petrol..it judders and stutters and I cannot go above 3 or 4 mph. The revs drop to a very low level and then shoot up and then drop again... Something seriously wrong here..... Anyone got any ideas? The ECU I got was the full box, not just the chip so it was a fairly simple swap... HELP!!!!

I was wondering when begin my serach for a 300ZX, I would love the model that doesn´t have the back spoiler, I mean what is the model itself that doesnt have the spoiler on the back right on top of the headlights? I know this is for wind or something like that but I personally don´t like it; is there any particular model that doesn´t have it? I noticed that the us models barely have them or the ones that were made after 1995 or 96, how do I look for one without it? Thanks cheers mates! :duffer:

I so much love the round lights with a skin at the rear but can't help thinking it's being dishonest,some people might assume you're trying to make it look like a ferrari. royals car and a lot of others look superb so please no-one take offence, i'v just been looking at zcentre bodykits.. I know a lot of owners don't like the stock rear, but I love both styles. Think it's worth a poll.

is there a thread anywhere on here for fitting a hicas eliminator? Spke to someone at JAE who explained it in detail..........And immediately forgot what he'd said! :headvswal

Hi, I have done a search and am not much the wiser. My problem, my son has ordered a set of wheels for the States (for my birthday) for my '92 Shorty TT. 8.5 fronts, 9.5 rears, 18" diameter. I am supposed to have some R34 Brembos coming so have to take these into account. The supplier has suggested an offset of 20 front and 25 rear. Question, will these fit properly? Without modding the arches etc. Thanks.

I have just found a HKS AFR air/fuel meter thing under the carpet..how do I adjust it? Its sitting in 8.5..has anyone else had any experience with this item and what seems to be the best setting recommended for N/A ? or should I just leave it! Does lower setting mean leaner or richer? any help would be great?

Actually second one I had seen but the other was a black Z31 parked on Ashley Down Road - anyone here?

I think it was dark blue (didn't look factory) or perhaps black with an aftermarket front bumper, wing vents, and standard alloys. It had 300zx.co.uk stickers in the windows, but I don't recognise it as anyones. J Reg, parked outside Jepheson Gardens. I thought my seats were reclined as far as they could go - you drive lying down!! Presumably someone's on here, or used to be...

Does anyone know what the 'fix' is to the pipework to use two completely seperate filters. I know you need a dummy MAF and the chip has to be changed to read double the air one MAF reads. Is there anything else? I'm not bothered about whether i have enought power to justify it or not so please no ''u need 400-500bhp'' posts lol Cheers Yaseen

Time for the Z to experience it's first major problem...... Yesterday it lost the ability to actually move. revs fine but no power, so the chap I bought it from came to have a look at it today and he's gonna get it fixed next week. Torque convertor or something. so until I get it back I'm driving a *shudder*...Renault Megane Scenic :o .........

Does anyone have or can anyone point me to where I can get a picture of un tampered with ZX engines NA and Twin Turbo. I think it would be a good thing to have available for new people who are not familiar with the cars. It might even help stop people from buying NA's when they want a Twin Turbo as they would know what they are looking at. Sorry if it sounds stupid

Brought my zed home tonight, the first time ive driven it since JAE, and a strange warning light kept coming up on the dash, it didnt seem to follow any pattern and i didnt take the car over 65ish at any time, Ive never seen this warning light before and wondered what it was,when i got home i checked the manual and the light isnt shown in there, Id apreciate any help i can get in finding out what this is. However i cant post a picture of it so ill try and describe it............ Warnig light is red, it appears in the light cluster next to the 'handbrake on' light on the left hand side of the dash (light is to the right of handbrake light) It looks like a drawing…

Hi i'm considering a transmission upgrade soon. currently have auto+ cooler.Now i know its down to personol preferance but should i go for a fast road auto built at ztech or a manwell conversion which would be more reliable in the long run if i was going for big BHP. plus performance wise there isnt much difference is there.also people have had problems with manuals syncro (etc) unless manual box is from 95/6 300zx. personolly might stick with auto save you having to change gears all time all advice appreciated cheers.
