Hi, Sorry to start this off again :wack: , looked in search but some threads are 2 year old now! Basically engine out and done all the usuall and cant decide to leave it or rip it out!?!? So from wot i read it is advised to get ur car chipped to help prevent dett after removal, and how would it affect the emissions in the MOT? Will admit from removin this and the turbo bypass it deffo cleans up the back of the engine? So wot ur thoughts folks!

:cry: Anyone help?!! My Zeds Taga top is leaking on the drivers side. Would silicone sealant do or would replacement rubbers be better ? Ive not even had the opportunity to get the top off yet and am scared that if I do I migh not get it back on in time for the rain

Anyone have an idea as to how much leather would be required for an interior re-trim on all the panels in an SWB. (incl. the ones behind the seats) Don't include the seats as I'm getting pre-made covers for them. Ta very muchly

when fitting a delimiter does the dash have to come out to get to the clocks or is there an easier way? any tips would be most welcome.

A massive thanks to Mark and Martyn @ Zen Garage. Just picked up the car last night after RPS clutch and lightened flywheel fitted with a few other bits and bobs.... For the first time in a year full power back on no slippage and pulls really well. More and more i think how good these cars really are and pleased we've got some top mechanics here who really look after us and are top blokes too! hi chaps, hope someone could help. When i drive over rough and bumpy roads the back ends seems to wander as and when it likes, any ideas as to what could causes this? first i thought its was the shocks but i'm not too sure. cheers. dave

Hello all, When I got my Zed I was going to use it as my everyday car, but now I've seen just how quickly the petrol guage moves down I've had a re-think!! Now I'm thinking of keeping my Cav V6 as a 'run-around' and keeping the super-car for the weekends and showing off in general... Does anyone use their Zed as a second car and get classic car insurance on it? If so, could you tell me what company you're with and roughly how much you pay on limited mileage? Any input on this would be much appreciated as I'm currently paying just under £1000 to insure my ZX as my only car!! Cheers

I am trying to find a pair of rear speakers for my Z it seem the general opinion is they are 6x4 but I am finding it difficult to find any this size, or am I missing something ? any help please. :confused:

Hi guys, Every time I start my car up from cold (or even warn sometimes), I get this horrendious noise from around the belt/pullies. Ihave tried listening to the source but the noise is too much to actually depict which of the belt accessorries is making the noise. Plus I have tried to adjust the belts but to no avail. the thing is they are all new belts! So Im wondering - could this be fan clutch failling or my water pump dying? I have heard from some where that fan clutch do make noise when failling. Could someone please confirm this or am I mistaken. Help please. thanks

Hey guys my cars in after a bump getting repaired and the guy tells me that the two bars (one big and a small one) that hold the bumper are damaged and Il need new ones? Dont have a clue what hes talking about. Can anyone enlighten me? Ive spoken to ricerocket whos breaking a G plate LWB TT but want to make sure I order the right bits! My car is a 1994 and its a 99 spec bumper that being fitted. Picture would probably help. Cheers Colin

I've got an apexi filter and am looking at getting a twin induction type setup to fit soon as the weather is more reliable. Today I compared the apexi with a Blitz sus and my old HKS mushroom filter and realised how much smaller the apexi is. It looks like the correct bolt fittings for the MAF so don't think I have the wrong one. I can't see how it could flow anywhere near as much air as the blitz or the HKS. Has anyone done any comparisons between them? I was considering just fitting the single filter as I've not got round to buying the y pipe and the second filter yet, but I'm not sure its such a good idea now. Cheers Dave

Is there a way of resetting the heater vents? The reason I ask is ever since my alarm install I don't seem to be getting air blowing on my feet, it comes out of the dash vents instead. I know some cars you press a couple of buttons at the same time and they reset themselves. Cheers.

lately ive noticed that when my car is cold it wont drive above 4000 revs in first second and third (never tried 4th 5th) without misfiring badly, and if booted when choke is on it will miss like fook when i change gear and accelorate again also when it gets warm it stops missing but when cruising the engine sounds like a wheel bearing whirring, if i put the clutch in and coast it stops making the droning whiring noise also again lol, if i have the defi button swithched on (the one that clears the inside of my winscreen) the car doesnt seem to dip when pulling away much, but when it is switched off it nearly stalls when pulling away anyone shed any light on…

a good m8 is after a gasket for one of these turbos says he cant find 1 anywhere any1 know a place that would sell um?

checking the engine oil... it need to be at running temperature? heat and then cooled down? or cold ? obviously standing level, but ive been doing a few short journeys recently so guessing i might need just to top her up and want to get it right... also i sem to remember the dip stick being difficult to read at the bottom althouh it might just be me...
