General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Has anyone on here ever done it? I did see a thread where someone was half way through it, but can't find it. Just wondering if anyone's done it successfully at all or not. I'll not be refurbing them. But would like to strip and rebuild them. Do they require gaskets or sealing upon rebuild? Any info would be a help. Thanks Si

Im going for 4 wheel alignment on Friday after ive fitted my coilovers but the guys at RSE Motorsport are asking if i have set them to 300zx spcific geometry :confused: I thought it was just a case of adjusting ride height anddamper and away you go.But apparently not. Can anyone who has coilovers help me with this one please? Thanks Steve.

Hi, My boost gauge sits on about 3/4 (or even 2/3) of the way in negative boost when idling, but all the way to -14 psi when I come off the gas when the car is moving. Should the gauge stay all the way over to -14 psi when idling? My revs are nice and stable on about 650 rpm. If so, is it an indication of possible problems with piston rings? I thought I read that somewhere. Bart

Hi guys i was wondering if anyone can help me? Well after 2 years of having my Blitz DSBC ive finaly got around to fitting it. The reason its taken so long is ive been waiting to upgrade my tubs and injectors.Well that day has come and i started it up last night.(jeeezzz it sounds mean) Anyway my question is can anyone talk me through setting up my BC as im a little lost,and i dont want to blow my engine after only just putting it back in. Right, I have just received these in the post, how the hell do I fit them? On my Calibra, I had a tee piece which went into the inlet hose that the valve went on to, but these ones dont have anything like that so any ideas?

I've finally got my car back after Ryan has nearly lost his hair with it. Boy has that man got patience - I thought he was going to charge me rent on it! I'm convinced now that the car is actually possessed - give it a re-con engine and new turbo's and it still laughs at me by splitting a top hose! But once again Ryan saves the day. So for anyone visiting ZTech lately, there's no more yellow heap hanging around - hope I've not spoken to soon. And to Ryan, thanks again mate - I love this car and yes I have washed it. Now for 1000 miles below 3k rpm, oh and fit some new temp/oil gauges, and fix the fuel gauge, central locking, new tyres, cure the squeaky…

Hi All, Just noticed , sometimes when I put my foot down (not to the floor) i get a sort of air horn noise (not as lowd!), sounds like its from the front driver side of the engine..just wondered if it might be something bad..!!

hi guys,i done a search but didnt really find much,i just got an rps flywheel and rps organic max series clutch fitted to my car,it slipped once on the day i picked it up and now just slipped again 4 days later,ive tried putting it in 5th at 50mph and flooring it and it doesnt slip,any ideas? my spec is below if it helps thanks in advance Paul

I've had some number plates done for my car and they look shite :mad: I asked to have the front one 25% smaller as this seems to be a popular choice which would make it about 39cm wide as apposed to 52cm? The one I've got back is 32cm and the lettering is still the same size! Has anyone else had this trouble or is it just me? Can anyone recommend anyone please that does show plates, thanks

Hi all, Have my gearbox off and the inside of the bell housing is covered in sooty oil i can understand the soot due to the clutch but why is it all oily, could this be due the rear main seal!?! What are signs of a failed seal? Cheers.
