lately ive noticed that when my car is cold it wont drive above 4000 revs in first second and third (never tried 4th 5th) without misfiring badly, and if booted when choke is on it will miss like fook when i change gear and accelorate again also when it gets warm it stops missing but when cruising the engine sounds like a wheel bearing whirring, if i put the clutch in and coast it stops making the droning whiring noise also again lol, if i have the defi button swithched on (the one that clears the inside of my winscreen) the car doesnt seem to dip when pulling away much, but when it is switched off it nearly stalls when pulling away anyone shed any light on…

a good m8 is after a gasket for one of these turbos says he cant find 1 anywhere any1 know a place that would sell um?

checking the engine oil... it need to be at running temperature? heat and then cooled down? or cold ? obviously standing level, but ive been doing a few short journeys recently so guessing i might need just to top her up and want to get it right... also i sem to remember the dip stick being difficult to read at the bottom althouh it might just be me...

Hi, Just noticed today when i was on the motorway, put my foot down and the power light didnt come on..seemed to boost ok, are there any instances when the power light wouldn't come on? comes ok from the switch by the gearbox.. thanks

OK I will be working on the car Friday and Saturday to resolve the safety boost limit prob I have. From the diagnostic I done a while back I found the following: - Pass o2 sensor knackered - Engine temp sensor - Harness and Connector OK first job is to replace this o2 sensor. I have the thing ready and will probably take me but an hour to do the job as everything is stripped inside the engine bay in the area as I ripped the thread. In previous threads it came apparent that the harness and connector and eng temp sensor probs were supposedly resolved by cleaning the connections on these. I havent done a diagnostic since, but I am still unsure if this…

Does any1 know if theres any difference in the tailgate skin that Z centre sells and the 1 u get on http://www.300zxstyling.co.uk? Was just wondering if the Z centres fits better and easier or why it works out about £40 more expensive after VAT and P&P??? :rolleyes:

Has anyone on here ever done it? I did see a thread where someone was half way through it, but can't find it. Just wondering if anyone's done it successfully at all or not. I'll not be refurbing them. But would like to strip and rebuild them. Do they require gaskets or sealing upon rebuild? Any info would be a help. Thanks Si

Im going for 4 wheel alignment on Friday after ive fitted my coilovers but the guys at RSE Motorsport are asking if i have set them to 300zx spcific geometry :confused: I thought it was just a case of adjusting ride height anddamper and away you go.But apparently not. Hi, My boost gauge sits on about 3/4 (or even 2/3) of the way in negative boost when idling, but all the way to -14 psi when I come off the gas when the car is moving. Should the gauge stay all the way over to -14 psi when idling? My revs are nice and stable on about 650 rpm. If so, is it an indication of possible problems with piston rings? I thought I read that somewhere. Bart

Right, I have just received these in the post, how the hell do I fit them? On my Calibra, I had a tee piece which went into the inlet hose that the valve went on to, but these ones dont have anything like that so any ideas?

I've finally got my car back after Ryan has nearly lost his hair with it. Boy has that man got patience - I thought he was going to charge me rent on it! I'm convinced now that the car is actually possessed - give it a re-con engine and new turbo's and it still laughs at me by splitting a top hose! But once again Ryan saves the day. So for anyone visiting ZTech lately, there's no more yellow heap hanging around - hope I've not spoken to soon. And to Ryan, thanks again mate - I love this car and yes I have washed it. Now for 1000 miles below 3k rpm, oh and fit some new temp/oil gauges, and fix the fuel gauge, central locking, new tyres, cure the squeaky…
