Aaarrrggghhhhh Trying to get my rear and 3/4 windows tinted (20%) tint is already on but poorly done. Took it to one company and after cancelling the first time, the second time he decided to put summit like 8 miles on my car then didnt have time to tint it  Took it to another lad who had a go but cant remove existing tints - He said it'll have to be scraped off which will damage rear demister. :(

Ok, I like to have the car looking smart and shiny and i personally use Mequiars which does a pretty good job. But, after 16 years of being cleaned, crapped on by birds, and more recently frequently covered in salt it's looking a little tired!! So, how do you go about flatting the paintwork and repolishing?? I'm not inerested in concours condition, and it's nowhere bad enough to need a respray, so recommended products & techniques please!! e.g. http://www.autopia-carcare.com/inf-perfect.html talks about detailing in a little more, erm, detail than "use the flash car wash system - it's great!" so this is the kind of thing I'm interested in!! Is it true that uk spec oil coolers are bigger and more efficient than jap spec? My jap tt needs a new one and I notice Z centre do an upgrade kit with what it describes as "bigger uk spec like oil cooler". Is it a worthwhile purchase over £50-£60 for standard jap spec?

Right i have a series of queries about making my new ECU work!! Its an Apexi Power FC from a skyline and i know its been done before so it can work but i have a few queries. The ECU's are basically the same apart from a few little differences but the connector and pin set up are identical But The injectors pin set up on the 300zx goes like this - Pin 101 - Inj 1 Pin 103 - Inj 3 Pin 105 - Inj 5 Pin 110 - Inj 2 Pin 112 - Inj 4 Pin 114 - Inj 6 Now the skyline injectors pin set up uses the same pins but the injectors are different due to it being a straight 6 Pin 101 - Inj 1 Pin 103 - Inj 3 Pin 105 - Inj 2 Pin 110 - Inj 5 …

Hi guys I'm pretty new to the zed world and am just after a little bit of advice. I was recently introduced to the 300zx a couple of weeks ago and I was suitably impressed, the car looked/sounded/performed amazingly. So since then I've been scouring the t'internet looking for the ideal one.....then I came across this site. I have been reading through the various posts and have become horrified with some of your experiences!!! Bird, fingers21, badger1, t-pot to name a few. Altho I am pretty impressed with the amount of advice and help you guys have given your fellow members, but help/advice/support doesn't always help/pay the bill when you've …

Hi guys. got a quick question about HID kits. I want to get a HID kit for the my golf (i know i asked on that forum with one response - thought i come back to the best car forum where everyone is friendly and helpful :)), but what i wanted to know is - do i have to get a H7 bulb (thats what the golf uses) HID kit or can i get say any kit i.e. H4 bulb type as i have seen one which is Hi/Lo Bi-Xenons but they only come in H4 fitment. another quick questions say if i bought a 9000k kit, do i have put only 9000k bulbs in there or can i use say 6000k bulbs (as they will be easier to get hold of)? Has anyone got a aftermarket HID light kit if so where d…

Hi, Sorry to keep going on about this, but I really need to try out another Auto Zed. Mine has had the auto box rebuilt, and it’s not right. It’s nearly out of warrantee, but the blokes have agreed to open it up and sort it. But I need to explain what the problems are once and for all before I won't get chance. Some of the guys who offered before on previous thread have now got their cars off the road due to the usual Zed problems (fingers21 and syed rahman, hope you get things sorted ok guys), or I can't contact them to take them up (TTs). So please can you help me out. I’m in Cambridge, but I will travel. There’s a beer in it for you :) Cheers…

I was just looking at mrsimoto's thread about bodywork and Old Zed said something which concerned me - that the sills are different on these cars. I have put a dent in my driver's side sill due to an unseen rock and it won't pull out and is too big to fill. Can this be repaired easily and cheaply in a bodyshop? Would I be better off getting a new sill from one of the traders? Thanks

Hi  I have began taking my plenum off :hurl: and I discovered that my passenger side boost hose had a black substance in it. It was thick like oil, but smelled like petrol  There was not masses of it, but enough to cause me some concern. The drivers side was clear  I have had a quick look and came up with PCV problems. Would this be correct?? She is at about 80, 000 miles and I doubt these have been done in the past  The car smokes for about ten mins on a cold startup, but this disapears as soon as shes warm and I am pretty sure there is no smoke from boost. Break the bad news gently guys, its been a bad day  :…
