Just wundrin where the best place to take my zed is distance wise would really like to get it somewhere like zedworld or a decent setup like that i live in york and dont want just any :smw: working on it!!!! where does everyone reckon!!!!!

Hi Guys I am planning on converting from standard headlights to HIDS. I already have the kit, just reading threads, before fitting. I have read about needing to modify jap spec wiring so that when you use main beam the dipped beam do not switch off. This makes the bulbs last longer. It says that UK spec wiring is different. I have also read that you have to modify the wiring on UK spec as the dipped will come on dimly (dim-dip cct has to be removed). Does anyone know what i have to do on UK spec to achieve the above? Right, shoot me dowm in flames. My turbo's need replacing and I have a friend with a 2JZGTE supra who is about to replace his hybrid turbos(nothing major just upgraded internals) which have done about 1500 miles from new. he is upgrading to a single turbo conversion. They will be super cheap! Am i right in thinking that one of his turbos will be bigger than the other due the sequential setup, obviously making them useless for my Z, or can they be made to fit? I think I know the answer. :confused:

Yesterday i travelled from sunderland all the way too essex for a basketball game. Did not spot 1 Zed :rant: I saw everything else, even a lambo :D

H reg, at cemetary junction. Didn't notice you until I pulled away, I was in the burgundy Z on the other side of the junction.

my drivers door window is jammed down about 2 inches from being totally closed. I think the window motor has gone kaput, so I need to change it. Only problem is, I cant get the door card off cuz the window is blocking access to the little plastic plug on the rear edge of the door. Any ideas on how to get to it? The window is totally jammed by the way, no amount of force has moved it yet.......only thing i can think of is smashing the window.....

:rant: This car is really starting to P*SS me off. I was driving down the motorway at 80 mph when the stereo starting playing up and then the car lost power and stopped. I was that annoyed i abandoned it and went on to work. I went back this morning and she started up first time and travelled aprox. 5 miles, I figured that the battery is not charging so got a replacement to get me home. I haven't slept yet and i'm back at work for 5.30. What do i have to buy now to make the damn thing reliable :rant: Is it the PTU or the alternator ? ANY HELP GUYS

So can I get this cleared up in my own mind first. If I get some secondhand UK spec clocks to fit to my Jap spec this is all I need to convert to MPH. If the clocks come off a series 1 and I have a series 2 then I will need to change the speedo as the whole cluster wil not conect due to different plugs. Can I then buy some dial faces from the U.S as they are MPH and it will be O.K? By the way I love this smilie :nana2:

i have seen many different variations / designs on the wide arch kits but cant seem to find any websites with the different designs. i had a look through previous posts on this subject and could find much. any ideas or websites or even pics

hello all, first one is a quicky, on the left and right side of engine bay at the back are a solonoid type things with what seems to be two small vacume hoses going to them, the only reason i say solonoid is that when you rev it with your finger on the throttle pull, when it goes back to rest you can hear it click, but the passenger side doesnt? what are these and have i got a faulty one? second one is slightly more complicated and has been anoying me for ages, now its getting to the point where im starting to slap the dash 'hard'..... when warmed up and just sat at cruise in any gear the car splutters and coughs it almost on closed throttle, and when approa…

Hi All, Folded the passenger seat up to get in the back yesterday and as usual the chair slides forward, ok slid it back and now it wont catch and just slides up and down!! Anyone had this , know a quick fix? Thanks Ed

OK yesterdy I was fixing the niggly pribs with the car. Decided to take it to my m8s garage to get the work done instead of braking it myself using the wrong tools. So I got him to do the tracking and I cleaned out the engine temp sensor. Next on the list Passenger o2 sensor. Everything removed and out of the way, managed to get the o2 sensor moving. When we got it out noticed a wee bit of the thread had ripped. Another mechanic in the garage said, "rushed it too much", I replied "3 hours to loosen a sensor, f**k off". But I knew it was true. Anyway, the way it is fixed in is through an adaptor incase people like me get their hands on it :nono: , so I think I h…

The current Centreforce clutch in my car still seems strong but as I've no idea how long it's been in there mileage wise I'm just trying to decide what's best to change it for if it does go? Looking at both the JWT and RPS street clutches they are both around the same price, but can anyone say which is better or will last longer etc? Cheers.

This might seem a stupid question but is a carbon bonnet much lighter than a stock alloy one. As the standard one seems very light to me where all zeds fitted with alloy bonnets thanks taff.

Now, being a novice in styling etc. I need to ask, to achieve a customized Zed, where do you begin ? Do you buy the wheels first and then work round them or do you buy the bodykit first and then the wheels ? Also how much does it cost to buy a full body kit and get it fitted ? Are there specific places or can any bodyshop accomodate ? Finally, to change the colour of the Zed to a completely different one, is this considerably much higher in costs than keeping the same stock colour ? Where is the best place to get a bodykit and wheels ?

Hi all Few weeks time will have all the suspension upgrades done, and the zed will need an MOT(its first one) and full wheel alignment, does anyone know of a good garage in Kent that does both. Also is there anything particular with a zed a garage should know about to do an MOT. Cheers Lee

Only caught a glimse of it it was a silver zed big rims and high level spoiler and was smashed at front, it was on a recovery wagon goin northbound around junc 19 m6 at 9 pn tonight.

Hi Folks, Used to own a 280Z years ago, but I'm new to the world of the 300Z and turbo's but here goes: Picked up my Z yesterday and there are a couple of extra's on it. The guy I got it from imported the car and didn't know what they were and I'm guessing one is a boost controller. See photo (crap I know) - It has a norm/set button that turns from orange to green when pressed, a row of LED's up to 1.4 and then a small dial at the other end with a min and max setting. I assume in Normal mode the car functions as normal. I haven't tried using it yet, but am I likely to notice much difference?. There's also a boost guage stuck on the side of the dash, seems t…
