I feel as this would bring traders extra business, that if they want something in the pack they would be responsible for supplying me with the vouchers/brochures (they get them made up at their cost) Obviously not a massive heavy catalogue, just like a booklet or something. As you are the TLO I thought I'd leave it to you to contact the traders with this offer.

Please let me know what you think bud.

I'd go along with the idea of supplying a brochure of sorts. It'll be difficult for traders to monitor who is a new customer and who isn't. If I understand correctly nobody has received a welcome pack as yet (or am I mistaken?) I don't know what you are planning on doing with all the members who signed up over the past year or so (will they be getting a pack as well?) but a lot of those have already purchased from us. Therefore they don't qualify as a "new" customer (strictly speaking). If we [traders] were to number the vouchers it would force an enormous administrative burden upon us which, quite frankly, many if not all of us just don't have the time for.

However, at the current rate at which the club seems to be acquiring traders you'll have a Welcome Pack the size of the Yellow Pages before long. You must think about your postal rates as well. For the £20 that new members pay into the club, how much of that is spent on purchasing items for the Welcome Pack and how much postage are you allowing for?

It's been stated before but I think the way forward is to provide a double sided A4 with all the trader details listed (ie, product line summary and contact details). This can then be maintained by whoever is going to be responsible for the welcome pack and new traders will need to provide this information when they come online (part of the admission process).

I hope this makes sense as my head hurts just thinking about it.

All the best with it!

Spot on Dan, couldn't agree more, the way things chop & change i can see it being a administrative nightmare

Yep agree with Dan & Chris. Been waiting to see what others think first before replying.

When a new member joins they can see the traders sections, and I guess traders are always free to offer these sort of discounts anyway :)

Also, on a personal level with my rather small product base, though my customers are always v satisfied I don't get much repeat business, until people seel their car and buy another. TonyC (4 kits) and Mike Kirby (5/6 kits!!) spring to mind :D. Eg Danny - have you ever sold 2 sets of SS intake pipes to anyone hehe? :p So initial discounts would be of minimal future benefit to groundingkits.co.uk.

Good that the committee are thinking up ideas like this though, much appreciated :)

EDIT: Just to add, as my post seems negative, trader adverts within the members pack are IMO a great idea. Was just commenting on the further discounts to new members above. :)

This is an opportunity for you to promote your business. There will be a generic pack plus extras. The packs will go out to all existing members and those that are new members to the Club when they join. We want to keep the overheads of maintaining the "picking list" to a minimum. What would you like to see go into the pack that promotes your business? Keep it simple and it can be included at the time of mailing. Its up to you.

All existing members Andrew? That'll be a mammoth task for someone :wack:

For mine I'd like something simple, just a sheet of A4 with logo, details and a few prices on including the current members discount. Would have no problem producing these (any ideas how many?) and sending them to the "volunteer" who gets the job of sending these packs out :D

That would be me .....GULP!!! lol

A very big gulp! Almost as big as Chris does on a Friday night at "Ladyboys"

LMFAO
