Just thought I would post some pic's during the bodywork and widebody kit fitting. The pictures were took on Wednesday, the panels were just tacked up getting the shape right. Called in today and the panels are now fitted and they are working on blending the skirt/air duct into the rear arch. BArry

hi im getting my nissan 300zx in two months time and i have been researching different ones im getting a 1991 twin turbo auto targa prob 2+2. i have seen examples were the engine has siezed and the explanation for this was given as the previous owner had put standard unleaded fuel in rather than premium. anyone know if the zx's have to be ran only on premium like optimax or something? anyone any idea of the repair costs for a seized engine?

My Modena Ferarri replica wheels are looking a bit worse for wear after winter and I am looking to tidy them up. After a quick scrub this afternoon, it looks like the outside rims are highly polished, with the inner part painted. Does this sound right? If anyone has a picture of these wheels in there original state, it would be VERY helpful to see, just so I know exactly what I am aiming for to get them as standard! :duffer:

Bit hard to describe this one There is one bolt on each side of the car, with a round head on the outside of the window glass. (They match the ones on the targa tops if that's any help!) Mine are tatty and I wanted to have them powder coated. I have got the ones off the targas fine, but wondered if anyone knows how to get the ones off the windows????

Like everyone who has Modena wheels, I am missing several centre caps and the pins that hold them in place. I have managed to keep hold of one of each and so have a template and wondered if there was anyone here handy enough to make me a nice new set?????? If you do know someone, they could be onto a nice little earner here, cos everyone I know who has these wheels has lost these, and you can't get them anywhere! I don't mind whats on the new caps, (although Z would be nice!) they don't have to be the same as the originals and even plain would be OK, I can always add decals anyway. Heres what the originals look like, in case you can't remember!

Right Ive got me haed light out and striped but can anyone tell me do i take of that round crome whole that gose round light in the grey plastic insirt held on with 3 screws before sending away? :)

Anyone done this? I've been using a Doolz setup with 1 MAF and a dummy for ages but wanting to get my SAFC put to proper use and wire in a second MAF. My manual for the SAFC is in Japanese and I don't know the pins on the MAF either...

I was booked into get my alarm fitted this morning and was told that clifford would have to send a modified module as it is a Jap import. I reckon he forgot to order the alarm, what do you guys say?

Hi fellas, I recently bought replacement Injector connectors from MJP to replace the split/cracked/non-existant ones on the car. My question is: has anyone done this before and did you crimp or solder the wires? Cheers, Mark

i dont know what else to try iv'e replaced all 6 plugs (ngk platinum),bought and tried another coil pack on each plug to try to find a possible faulty one but still plays up. i can be driving along fine then it goes to 5 and after a while it rights itself again. frustrating to say the least! can anyone shed some light on the problem and offer up an answer? much obliged.

I am an indpendent Collision INvestigator and I have been asked to look into a fatal road accident involving a "H" reg 300zx on behalf of the defence. I need to find out the dimensions of a ZX ideally with an overhead plan drawing of such a vehicle in order to superimpose the damage profile on the vehicle to establish the impact speed. I bought some replacement glow gauges a while back, and I was wondering what the process would be like of taking the dash off and revealing the stock gauges so that i can slip the new ones over? I believe they go ontop of the old ones. Here is a picture. How might I go about installing these? On a 1991 NA 2+2? Would I have to drop the steering column? Which parts of the dash must i remove? I'd like some help! Im pretty new to this kind of thing. If you need anymore information about what im doing just ask so you can better give me advice. Hello all, i am trying to wire up my amp, but i cant find an inlet to take the positive/power wire form the battery into the cabin to connect to the amp there must be a little inlet or something so that i can take the wire through from the engine bay into the cabin. :headvswal Any ideas where this could be?

First i would like to say hi and before anyone thinks original user name, i have had it for years as i am a eZX primera P10 enthusiast and run a rare UK development 4x4 sr20det with 310bhp@ FW. With this being off the road for a while a bought an immaculate 91 NA, 47k with some jap service history and uk service history. One thing is that i paid 3k for her (private) which seemed a lot. I was looking for months and although they start for a grand, tt`s as well it seemed this was what you had to pay for an A1 NA and 5-6k + for an A1 TT. Just want to check i paid the right money for a car of this standard? On to my second point. I have heard so many different insurance …

Hello all i have just purchased a front strut brace off of the internet. It came today :dance: and ive just come to fit it to find that the fuel lines from the IAA valve i think :rolleyes: are in the way. Does anyone know a way round this or do i have to buy some braided hoses? Thanks for any help you can give me! I wanted this on ready for the 19th march meet :cry: :cry:

what is the minimum allowance on a compression test on a uk z tt tis for bird he is doing a compression test and needs to know what the minimum is-that is ok

I have fitted my informeter and have a few questions ...more like looking for advice. Ignition advance at WOT is 21/22 degrees ( 15 at idle ) Injecter timing at WOT is 17ms for both banks. For me to up the boost the Ignition advance is good but where can I push it to safely without DET? ( I mean if I up the boost at what degrees would it show if it was detting, have heard that you watch this to see if it retards the timing when it dets then back off on boost ) What injecter timing should I not be going above?

Just a thought of fiiting harness setup in my Zed. Can i use the original seats as they have a gap between headrest and seat body.Also how do i secure the the harness?Can i use a mounting from the rear belts or something? Thanks
