Hi all, Deciding on whether to either replace my standard air filter or go for an induction kit...any pros and cons? (I know better noise and all that) I put one on my N/A Mr2 and there was talk of low down torque loss...is this the same with a Turbo or should it increase torque? Its an Auto too if that makes any difference..? Thanks

hi guys my jap tt 1991 is fantastic ,but it came with tein adjustable suspension, only ride height not dampning,looks fantastic ,so whats the problem i here you say,well iam getting on a bit ,and the suspension is a little should i say, sporting[bloody hard].any way i was thinking of changing it and was wondering what you guys would suggest,standard springs and shocks?standard shocks and lowering springs?or new coilovers? the thing is i want a nice smooth soft ride without all the banging about .any advice would be great help.

can anyone recommend some replacement discs and pads for the front please. dont want to change the calipers just want some uprated discs and pads as my standard front ones have warped and i now have that annoying steering wheel wobble every time i hit the brake pedal! Cheers Ross

hello everybody , i have just purchased at last a uk tt it has not been used for two years and basically the mechanicals are fine but underneath the car is shot, the side sills need replacing the front and rear quarter inner arches need replacing, the floor needs replacing, front caliper needs freed.............. i have bought a dog but i need to keep her as i have paid too much money for and i know it was stupid but my question is this my mechanic has quoted approx 800 to fix it to fix it all up to mot standard, the car looks good visually in white and the interior is unmarked, i am going to keep her and get her all fixed up but is this a fair price for repairs, was th…

getting a bit peeved off now. since purchasing car never had a good run in it yet, speedo neva worked. purchased set of clocks then speed sensor. still didnt work. left the car a few hours then bingo it started to work. unfortuatley next morning nothing on speedo again. thing is the mileage is working occasionally but no needle. took it out yesterday got to about 50 mph and the speedo started moving very slightly then nothing again , asif it were trying but gave up. every now and then there is a chime coming from the dash. all the electrics underneath seem fine. please can anyone help :smash:

im trying to find out everything thats been modded on my car as im the first british owner and there was already some minor engine mods on when i bought it. i had the new tyres on the other day and while the wheels were off noticed the shocks said gas filled on them but i couldnt find a make. so im just wondering if the original nissan shockers are gas filled and what colour they are? cheers si

Plug and play into a TT?? Not worried about lack of boost guage as i have an aftermarket one anyway.

when its cold, between 40 and 60 mph there seams to be a vibration from the rear end of the car?? when its warm it goes away any idea?? any other speeds and it dont do it cold or hot etc. Also in 2nd and 4th gear sounds like a fan is running bad explination but air flow sounds i can hear from centre consol. when fans/heaters off this is (lol not just them i can hear). ???? part from that i love my car :dance: :nana2:

I know it sounds a bit odd... But... When i go through the revs (between 2000 and 3000) there is a hooting sound from my left rear exhaust... it sounds like i got a bloody owl in there... it stops as soon as i take my foot off the gas.. I think the sound happens due to the same principle of blowing over the top of a bottle makes a sound... Its bloody irritating and i want it to go away.... :smash: Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on how to make it stop?? Z Man

My viscous fan is running all the time, is their any maintenance i can do to resolve this as i believe it should not be on from cold, wrong/right i don't know? Cleaned the two temp sensors, one i believe is for the temp gauge and the other for the electric fan at the front, on removing the electric fan connection the electric fan kicks in, could you confirm if this is correct. Hi Just needed a bit of clarification over the different types of dials available on Zeds. Mine is a 1991 Jap TT that has NOT been delimited. It currently has the standard Clocks and shows upto 180KPH, with the boost gauge going from -7 to +7. After 15 years of careful ownership, just had some clown put a HUGE dent in my driver's side door while parked. As the car's pearlescent white, I guess a door repair/respray would be difficult to match so am thinking about a full respray. is it ok to fit an n/a gearbox to a swb tt with just the bell housing change?? im going to be having mine rebuilt shortly and i have the chance of a n/a box in the meantime. it would only be on there until the gearbox is finished. pros and cons please guys

is it just me or is the a real pain in the arse to do? i can take the T piece off but the plastic air filter just dont come off, the bolts attaching it to the car are to hard to get to. what do i do? should i just break it off, because its starting to piss me off now!!! :smash: :smash:

just got my replacement engine sorted and need somewhere to have it fitted, ive just rang robert shaw racing and they quoted around 2 grand just to fit it.
