Hi peeps!! kust wanted to check on a couple of things.... I'm in the process of changing my timing belt and install my koyo rad. Want to get rid of the aircon while i'm at it.....done the search on the site and help was very usefull.... Does the heating , demister etc run independently of the aircon, so when i ditch it , i will still have the demister etc......plus , is there a giude on tt.net or anything like that to follow, just to be on the safe side? thanks Mark

I fitted a Blitz SUS induction filter yesterday to my UK TT... Started up and ticked over fine, reved up no problem, but didn't drive it :) Got in it today to go to the South Central meet in Salisbury :hyper: Started fine.. first set of lights it cuts out, no tick over, carried on.. every time I stop it cuts out.. Got on the motorway, and it felt like the car was being held back when I let my foot off the gas, just not running right, so I brought it back home (missed the meet  ) Can anyone tell me what I may have done wrong? Are there other adjustments that have to be made for it to run correctly. I thought these induction filters were a simple bolt …

Hi guys. Got a 4-wire delimiter chip today. Instructions seem clear enough, until it tells me to: "Locate the white 8pin instrument panel plug in the dash and cut the right hand row 2nd from bottom wire (brown/blue) in colour about 3cm from the plug" Well, I can't find a brown/blue wire, and the only white connector I can find does not plug into the clocks, it plugs into the left side switch thing. Anyone done this before? I think I'm just looking for the wire that carries the speed information to the clocks. Please help, the dash is in bits till I sort this. Dave.

I'm looking for a 5volt 1.5amp supply straight from the car, is there one? and where can i find it? it's for my Archos video recorder.. i used a 5v regulator that i had kicking about but i don't think it's rated for so much current, maybe 500ma or so so it's nae good. Instead of using another regulator i'd rather use a supply straight from the car if possible. cheers for your help.

Looking on the online manual I can see where the engine number is stamped. Drivers side I believe at the rear. Unfortunately I dont think you can see this without removing the engine? :( Also the VIN plate was damaged /removed from my car. Is there another vin plate or chassis number stamped anywhere on the car. Same goes for engine - My V5 Reg book has a chassis number but I get a feeling DVLA inspection are gonna wanna see the chassis number somewhere on the car. I think they want the engine number too Thanks

There are two turbos on the 300. One small and one bigger, right? I think I've read somewhere that the boost should not be above 0,9 bar on the original turbos. But is that because of the small turbo? Is it possible for higher boost on the larger turbo?

I am replacing the brake booster hoses with Smithy's silicone ones - I am a bit confused as on Smithy's website it says a TT should have 3 or 4 hoses and and NA should have 2. Mine is a TT and I appear to only have 2 (hoses 2 & 3) - where are the rest ? Anyone got any ideas ?

Anybody used one of these to bleed the brakes on the zed? Is it any good? Or, will I have to go and get myself a friend to go the 'traditional route'?! Damnit!! I knew those friend things would come in useful..........!!!!!

My front lights are strange, correct me if i'm wrong please. The lights by the indicaters are the side lights right? The lights in the lower bumper are the fog lights yes? Now I do have a dodgy headlight but, when the side lights are switched on it the fogs that come on dimley until you turn the fogs on and then they get brighter. When I indicate the side lights come on as well but not flashing, I am confused as they should all be on different wires and switches. Could this be down to the alarm being fitted and them getting things messed up? If it is then a trip back is in order me thinks.

Put half a tank if optimax in - came home fairly quickly - and noticed bad petrol smell. then looked near cap and all down side of car running back is petrol streaks. When cap is locked shut you can pull it out a few mm. Should there be a rubber seal or something round the inside of the cap? Im not sure if it spews out when im booting it in a straight line or when it goes round corners too fast. Really need to get it sorted. Thanks
