Mad today!!!! Yellow zed seen bedhampton/Havant area several times and nice red zed seen Drayton area of portsmouth with aftermarket kit fitted etc..Driver of yellow was good enough to wave?

Thanks for your help guys,Finally got it working today.So if anyone else is fitting a turbo timer to a jap spec auto with ignition barrel lock just take off the cowling around the steering column,Find the red and black cables from the lock (surrounded in a black sheath) and disconnect them.I can finally take keys out with engine running and lock up....Thanks again to those who offered help..Great as usual....Jase :bow:

Just had renewal through and its gone from £340 to £690!!!!! 2nd car on limited 5k pa mileage. Anyone else had same problem and come up with an alternative? I can make it my main car for the summer(next 5 months) for extra £220 and garage the Lexus for that time. Seems like the best option unless anyone has any ideas.......

HI IS THERE ANYBODY HERE THAT CAN HELP ME.IVE GOT A UK 300 TWIN TURBO HAD A FULL ENGINE REBUILD 2 HEADS SKIMMED TOP HALF REDONE AND BOTTOM HAS HAD NEW RINGS AND SEALS DONE, THIS CAR IS CURRENTLY IN A GARAGE IN GLASGOW BUT THEYR HAVING PROBLEMS ,THE CAR RUNS FOR APPROX 5 MINS THEN CUTS OUT.WOULD ANYBOBY BE INTERESTED IN SORTING THIS CAR OUT,THINK ITS AN ELECTRICAL FAULT.I WOULD PUT IT ON A TRANSPORTER AND SEND IT TO SOMEBODY THAT CAN PUT IT RIGHT , IM DESPERATE AS CARS NOW BEEN OFF ROAD 8 MONTHS PLEASE HELP !!! :headvswal

I am looking fot a reputable company/person in the noth west to modify engine, brakes and suspension?

Right here goes. As you may have gessed my auto box has gone bang. Im looking into sorting that but my question is what is it that makes the box go bang and what part of the gear box is it that fails. I ask this because so many boxes go but we dont seem to have a fix for them. has anyone looked into fixing them at a decent price. I know thay are very complicated as i took out the valve unit and checked and cleaned it(it made no difference). I was just wondering if anybody had looked deeper in to this and if there was any reason why those of us with a little knowledge could not repair them.

I now NOTHING about engines so I know this might sound like a stupid question, so please no sarcastic answers, unless of course they funny. Can you supercharge a turbo charged car?

Just fitted my HKS FMIC.. and i need to know the setting for my profec as im not boosting as much as i used to.... So can someone that has a FMIC please give me the settings they are using... i want to be running about 16-16.5 PSI Cheers :bow:

Anyone know where I can get the bits to make up a true twin POP kit using 2 MAFs? Like this: Been told there's one on eBay.com but I can't find it. I've already got the MAF's and filters so I'm not paying for the full JWT kit. Really only need the pipe bends and silicone.

Hi guys. I bought some Veilside style sideskirts (thanks Maxsunny) & decided to have a go at painitng & fitting them myself! I have never fitted skirts before, so my questions really are how do I attach them!? Im assuming I drill either end & fix in the front & rear wells with self tapers!? Do I also need to bond them on too? Im pretty sure that the bodyshop used unibond on my old car but Im not sure if thats just the sealant for piping across the top of the skirts? Thanks in advance :)

I am looking to buy a nce japanese coupe and previously narrowed the choice to a Mazda RX7, Toyota Supra and a 300zx. I quickly ruled out the RX7 after further checking on maintanance costs and the supra is looking shaky after seeing how much it drinks! My question is about fuel consumption. I know its a tricky question because it relies on how i drive, where i drive and for how long. I have a commute of 45 miles each way 5 days a week. I know most will be thinking "buy a diesal" but i want something that can be sensible when needed but still excite me when i have the urge. What does anyone think about this? My car already has a straight through exhaust with massive diameter downpipe, air filter upgrade and 360 degree bearing tubs. What sort of BHP could I expect as I have a race organised against my boss and he owns a Carrera 4S. How will it affect my 0-60 time cos he can do it in less than 5 secs. Rob

Hi. After owning my first Zed for all of a week things were going well until yesterday I put my foot down, it down shifted (auto), the turbos kicked in, but instead of accelerating at a ridiculous rate like before the car kind of juddered a bit and didnt speed up at all! It almost feels like traction control, but cant be at motorway speeds. Any ideas? I can still accelerate if I apply power slowly...

It's probably been asked many times before, but I cannot see anything in the FAQ. I need to replace both Turbos. Any tips, specialist tools and what spares do I need. I've got a spare set of Turbos. I don't want to take the engine out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I found a bolt in one Turbo and the other is stiff to turn. The car has done about 150K. UK 1994 Auto. Thanks

Need some help peeps I have a water leak from what i think is the pass side intercooler, ive been lossing water for a few days and have spotted the leak, here's what im not sure about, I have no water at all in the expansion tank?? should there be?? the leak is coming from right in front of the pass wheel so its intercooler or split expansion tank???, im going to take a proper look at the weekend as i need to flush the system anyway. is this a common prob or could it be something more serious??? I have a proper coolant flush to run through th system and im going to use the red toyota coolant as ive always found this to be very good. any hits or tips wo…

if i was to buy an ecu eprom chip for my 300zx tt is there anyone out there who can fit these or is it not as straight foward as that?

Looking at getting some engine work done soon (ish). What do you reckon is a reasonable price for the following... Remove and reinstall engine. While engine is out do AIV Removal, EGR Bypass, PRVR Removal, CC Bypass, replace PCV valves, Throttle Body water hose bypass, Fit metal head gasket, remove aircon. Any ideas on price before I start phoning round garages. Hoping someone else here may have had this done. While I'm thinking about it, who in the Uk supplies overbored throttle bodies for the Z?

OK, I know you have to disconnect the idle valve to set the base idle. Do you set this to about 750RPM on a TT. Then, when I come to set the TPS do I reconnect the idle valve or does it not matter ? TPS voltage should be around 0.42v - 0.45v, is that right ? BTW I have the freeware conzult downloaded so should make life a little easier

hi guys , i am swapping out my J spec clocks to Uk spec .....is it a direct replacement as on the threads i have searched it says it is, but im not sure if the UK clocks will de limit the car ?? do i have to do any resister changes while im in there ??? cheers fellas Steve :confused:
