if i was to buy an ecu eprom chip for my 300zx tt is there anyone out there who can fit these or is it not as straight foward as that?

Looking at getting some engine work done soon (ish). What do you reckon is a reasonable price for the following... Remove and reinstall engine. While engine is out do AIV Removal, EGR Bypass, PRVR Removal, CC Bypass, replace PCV valves, Throttle Body water hose bypass, Fit metal head gasket, remove aircon. Any ideas on price before I start phoning round garages. Hoping someone else here may have had this done. While I'm thinking about it, who in the Uk supplies overbored throttle bodies for the Z?

OK, I know you have to disconnect the idle valve to set the base idle. Do you set this to about 750RPM on a TT. Then, when I come to set the TPS do I reconnect the idle valve or does it not matter ? TPS voltage should be around 0.42v - 0.45v, is that right ? BTW I have the freeware conzult downloaded so should make life a little easier

hi guys , i am swapping out my J spec clocks to Uk spec .....is it a direct replacement as on the threads i have searched it says it is, but im not sure if the UK clocks will de limit the car ?? do i have to do any resister changes while im in there ??? cheers fellas Steve :confused:

Ok so i'm getting some nice blue/red glo dials. 1.What resistor do i need 20k or 22k? 2.Where does the resistor go (pictures would be good)? 3.Do the needles still light up? Doesn't seem to be a definitive write up on this... Any pictures or help on the above would be great Thank you

Is there some way that these can be fixed. When I try to retract them, sometimes they get stuck. Especially the passenger side. If I dont gt any replies it will be WD40 (didnt want to try it last time as I had just washed her :headvswal ). Thanks

any ideas as to why my tickover sits at 1.5K? Sometimes (i think after I have switched engine off then restarted) it will sit at about 800 but 9 times out of 10 sits at 1500rpm. I dont wanna adjust the base idle as if I knock it down to 800 then Im presuming when it would sit at 800 it would stall. Cheers

I have looked in the insturctions booklet that came with this but as its in Japanese Im fooked. Can anyone give me a wee guideline on how to do this. could anyone help me on tyre pressure as i have a import tt on 18"inch alloys with on the rear continental 245/45/18 and on the front 225/45/18 any help would be great i have just bought the car an had to wait on insurance papers cumin through to get road tax an of course the tyres do look a wee bit flat.tommorow will be the realy the first time since i bought it an cant wait :D and dont realy want to be driving about with flat tyres on cheers ianchy :D

I dont know if this has been mentioned before and im sorry if its a repost, but i own an jap spec n/a and was wondering if anyone knew anywhere i can get a supercharger fitted. i know i should if just brought a twin turbo :headvswal but you never think at the time just fell in love with it when i saw it. Ok, well I've searched high and low, and finally found the diag for power mirrors in the online service manual ('Body' page 40) Problem : Passenger mirror does not fully extend to 'clunk' when operated like the drivers mirror. Has a little play in the 'out' position(only a cm), which can mean it gets moved slightly by wind. Drivers side is fine. Am thinking it's just something thats needs tightening. Questions: Anyone else ever had the same problem? Are the mirrors easy to take apart? Have you got to prise the mirror glass off with a screwy? Or do you wiggle the screwy side to side? How much fo…

Had a small water leak at the back of the engine, you could hear the odd fizz fizz sound as it hit the exhausts. Replaced the to hoses that go into the heater, but its still there? The new hoses arnt leaking and as far as i can tell nor is the little one just below them (reached down to see if I could feel any water). Anywhere else it could be from, seems to be dripping near center at the back of engine, slightly towards the passenger side.

When I start my car there's a squal of belts. I've ben told I need to tighted the aancilary belts. Can anyone tell me how to do this or know if there's a how-to anywhere? Cheers gents!

I got my Zed a couple of weeks ago and the speedo wasn't working, I got some useful advice from some of the guys on here (and Luke at Zcentre) and people said that it was probably the kph/mph converter playing up... ...Today I took the dials off etc (never tinkered with any of my cars before, but feel that I should get used to it!) and I took the converter out and re-connected the speedo wire as it was when it came over from Japan. It still doesn't budge an inch :headvswal Apparently, it's now one of two things - either the sensor on the auto box isn't working or the speedo itself is dead. But Zcentre said there isn't any easy way of finding out which. …

any body help? have import tt turn the key in the mornin coughs and splutters for 10 sec,s then dies have to do this at least 8-9 times then it will catch and be fine while running. it has actualy started to do this when the engine is warm! any ideas? :xxx:
