for the past few weeks i notice when i start my car the rpm goes to 3k and stays there , even after the revs drop. it came back to normal a few times but since yesterday its stuck at 3k. it doesnt seem to affect performance as i could feel the revs change even thought rpm stays at 3k... .my question is . is it the meter or do i have a problem lurking somewhere>>? :confused: thanks..

Saw a Black Zed at lights at end of Heigham Street today..at about 2-2.30pm today..... Didnt get a good look as i passed but i think you saw me... Had a strange numberplate on the rear-couldnt tell if it was a foreign one or a standard one with different font. Anybody on here?

I need to get some new tyres pretty soon, ive got toyos on at the mo, dont know what sizes ive got. What would you say the best type of tyres are?

These dont measure in Bar do they? CMHHG or something. Anybody know how to convert whatever they measure in to PSI and Bar?

I am going to change my oil and while I am down there I have a pressure sender for my Blitz meter, what do I do with the stock sender? Secondly I have searched the site for guides to oil changes can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks.

has anyone fitted their carbon fibre dash vents, i has a go yesterday as it was nice and hot in the car but it's impossible to clip them in! my dad had a go and hes bigger than me but even he couldnt get more than one clip in. Anyone got any tips on fitting? Yas

I can't some to feel the turbo kick in like I did in my calibra turbo. It almost feels like I'm driving a normal NA car. Is that normal?

It ran fine just before i was about to go on holiday went round to my nans to say goodbye iam going to Egypt whent so i left it with the turbo timer on for three mins, when i came back out to the car and started it the revs where up and down then went to set off it started to splutter and then it wouldent go over 2500rpm like it had a limiter set at that rpm . Then when i got home it started and ran well then half way home it started doing it again :headvswal any help would be great thanks johnboy

Recently had replacement engine and turbos fitted and the garage are having problems getting it to run properly. They drive for say 20 miles and engines stall and wont restart. Having read previous threads on here I came to my own conclusion that its either the PTU or crank angle sensor... or both. I have told the garage what I think but they say that the ECU is showing no fault codes! They are now going to check the wiring loom for breakages. They are not zed specialists but had no problems taking the job on and claim that they have worked many "similar" engines. To me it seems odd that the engine check light is on and the car wont start and there is no fault code, what …

Sorry to post another query about my non-functional speedo on here but... It aint the speedo converter - it's either the auto box or the speedo itself so, If I (carefully) use a multimeter (think that's what they're called) on the speedo wire while moving, should it pick up the pulses from the auto box and thus diagnose whether I need a new sensor or speedo? Otherwise it's a 50/50 guess.

Any ideas who stocks them ? Cheers !

Hi guys,advice please.Just noticed a horrible rumble thru the car at 70 mph plus and it feels like its coming up thru my seat!!!!it was quite bad on motorway this morning and worse on way home from work? any ideas?below 70 its fine and theres no vibration thru steering just from what feels back end of car? also how do i cure detting? is it purly running a higher octane fuel? chheers in advance ...jase

As a lot of Z owners know the above is a very common problem on our cars with the heat making the dash rise around the vents and looking shite. I have removed the old plastic vents and tried a unibond serious stuff adhesive but to no effect. Without me spending silly amounts on those slightly wider carbon fibre replacements is then anything else that can be done?? e.g a strong adhesive which dries fast?? The only way I can see a successful job been done is removing the front windscreen which I do'nt really want to do. Any help or advice gratefull aprieciated. :bow:
