Does anyone know of a good supplier of after-market handbrake handles that will actually fit a Z32? I have bought a couple recently, and they aren't a wide enough diameter fitment, after going to the trouble of cutting my handle off :headvswal Thanks, GUMBALL

Silly question, but having arrived home late and found that my Datascan cable and software had arrived, I decided that I couldn’t wait until the weekend before having a qucik peek. I’ve installed the software, all looks ok, went out to the car at 11:15PM with a torch, stuck my nose in and around the bonnet release but nothing, could spot the Diagnostic socket. Or is it one of these that appear to be connected (didn’t want to pull one in case I set the alarm off!) Thanks

when the engine is warming up ,mid way say, if you give it some ,the temp gauge drops and then goes back up at about the same pace as the rev counter moves up but as soon as you reach normal running temp it stops. next question do zed engines heat up quickly to normal running temp.

After many years faithful service she seems to have lost her appetite for boost. Drives fine, accelerates OK but not proper hard and the boost guage doesnt rise past zero. I thought maybe a boost hose had come loose but having now checked them I can find nothing wrong so far. Engine sounds fine and ticks over sweetly. If I floor it then stop and take a look under the bonnet there is a slight burning rubber smell and it aint the wheel spin! I have a horrible suspicion the drivers side turbo might have seized. No warning, no noises, no smoke. If I take one boost hose to plenum off at a time it will start and run. I can get a puff of boost out of the …

Hi, Im trying to remove the rear steering rack (for want of a better term) I cant get any movement on the knuckles that fit to the rear axle's short steering arms. They appear to be unusual in that they have a bolt at the rear which holds in place an aluminium cover about the size of £2 coin. Through the opposite side they appear more normal with the tracking end held on with a single bolt to the knuckle and steering arm. I have undone everything and am hammering hard with the correct size joint splitter ( fork type ) but I cannot get the end of the steering arm to separate from the trackrod end. I am trying to fit a Hicas eliminator which …

Got the car in January this year and the 2 rear tyres were healthy. 1 month and 700 odd miles later (no serious driving abuse at all) later and the rear right tyre was slick-like yet the left was still great. Initially suspected one of the hicas arms may have been out so the hicas unit was diconnected. Now another month or so later the rear left tyre is just as bad but the right is ok  It just seems very odd cos the excessive wearing has swapped sides. If the right went again it could be pinned down to suspension or alignment probs, but thats stayed fine this month?? Also if anyone has any unwanted tyres in a 245 45 16 I would happily buy them …

I'm about to indicate how little I actually know about my Zed so far... Had it 3 weeks, the front left tyre is looking a bit flat, it's running 205/50 R17s on the front and 255/40ZR17s on the rear. Can anyone advise me what the tyre pressure should be on these on my Zed? Many thanks, and I promise that one day I'll know something and I'll help someone else out...

So in the p'sin rain i get under it, tie up the loose pipes n drive it home for her. Took today off work, took 4 hrs for Kwik fix to sort (not their fault this time), got home £200 lighter. 24. I have had my car drop into safety boost twice in the last couple of days. Now I have checked the ecu and got a code 34 response. What I want to know is: whether the ecu stores the code when the sensor is doing its job and sensing detonation, or is it that the sensor has a fault and in actual fact the car is running fine?. I hope that makes sense. There is no sound to imply that the engine is detting - its sounds nice and smooth with no rattling. Can someone clear up my confusion? Cheers.

...hi folks, quick question...a while ago my turbos popped big (and hg might i add), now its all fixed, runs ok, boost fine. after a few hardish boosts i start to get some blue smoke out the back, once this happens it does it on idle for a few mins and constantly when boosting, it is however getting less. if I leave the car for 5-10 mins, come back, start up, no smoke at all until i go for a drive...if i potter around, dont get any, soon as i boost i start getting smoke it mainly seems to come from driver side, but both turbos went big style and im assuming some oil went into the exhausts. could this blue smoke just be this oil burning off?
