I've trawled all the exhaust threads and I think I found an answer to one question, but need some additional advice please...... Decided to de-cat my jap TT and have a Mongoose cat back system and some new downpipes ready to fit. Managed to squeeze under the car today (built some wooden ramps) and I noticed the existing exhaust has a smaller attached pipe running back to the front wheel arch (and I assume into the engine bay) on both sides along with a further sensor nearer the cats. My new down pipes don't have connections for any of these but I've read that they're not needed as I'm de-cating and all these bits are for the cats. So is this correct? If it…

mentioned before but after real detail now... How much work will it be to fit a pair of s14 coolers to replace my zed ones? the car has a 99spec front, but how much work / power gains... are these coolers ive got going to be worth the hasstle? Id luv a fmic but no spare cash and plenty of other things to do on the zed first, but was thinking these would be a cheap upgrade in the mean time.... guys are running upwards of 16psi on these coolers on 200s so they must be strong... but are they worth the hasstle?

I checked FAQ and cant find answers to these two... Was giving my car a bit of stick on a private airstrip and under load the speedo suddenly went to zero and stayed there. I slowed right down and went into second and it started working again!!! Never done it before. Was wondering if this was a common thing or maybe a sympton of something else? Is working fine now. secondly, my gears crunch going into fourth, but only under load. My mates R32 GTR does exactly the same. Is this a common thing for nissan gearboxs when they are old. It doesnt mean its about to die does it? I cant afford a new box! :mac1: I have just had an RPS clutch upgrade, do y…

after a lot of leaking down the sides im having difficulty keeping it up. my triple-gauge A-pillar i mean :p it came supplied with velcro which did the job for a while but rainwater from my leaky targa pulled the sticky velcro away from the frame. there's a screw-hole near the top of the plastic pillar, and a rectangular hole in the same place in the metal frame behind. would a grub-screw do this job (i asked around for these and apparently they're difficult to get hold of  ) at the moment all thats keeping my a-pillar up is the remaining velcro and the bloody sun visor!!!

Hi I'm new, Right, yesterday I picked up my zed from storage which its been for the last 3 months and drove home, travelled 110 miles then got home without a problem, brakes felt good and sharp. Then after tea I went out to get some fuel from the local shell garage, on the way there the brakes felt rather spoungey, on the way back home the brakes deteriorated to full failure, the pedal travels right to the floor with no stopping power at all! At this I returned to the garage and checked the brake fluid which was below the low mark, so I topped up to max, the brakes pumped up ok so I left, when I went to brake again the brakes completely failed again, they pump up…

As the power steering has a return pipe, does this mean that it is self bleeding. Ive cut into the hydraulic system to fit a Hicas Eliminator & then closed it up again, if I top up the power steering fluid will that be enough ????

Does anyone run them on here? Basically my rims sit too tucked into the arches...now I'm fitting my new ones the week after next, but I think they are the same offset. Basically, I want to fit some spacers to kick them out into the arches a little bit more. I want this sort of stance.... What would be advisable for spacer size then? Can normal studs hold out an extra 5 - 10mm?? Ta
