Was standing waiting for the bus today in Swords, Dublin when a zed went past, and it wasnt kersh!! It was a flip/multi coloured zed and on Northern Ireland plates so immediately my head thought STEER FROM THE REAR but there was only one and not three!!!

I already have a rear foglight on my Jspec which does not work. I hate the switch that they have used too. I am just gonna replace with a new one. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or a little walkthrough that may help? TIA, Dave G

Please help. My baby is sick. Was on way into work today, got nice new clutch and flywhhel thanks to Smithy and was going to fit them, but on way had to call the RAC. Whilst overtaking on dual carriage way suddenly got massive lack of power. Thought the turbos had gone into safe mode but it seems a bit more. After coasting down the hill, defo lack of power, got to roundabout and the engine cut out. Started no problem but the engine will not keep running. After revving to about 3000rpm managed to pull away and head up next hill. Thinking it just lack of power, start going up hill and notice loads of black smoke coming out of exhaust. Trying to get the centre bearing support off the propshaft (think I've got the names right-ish), but the 2 17mm nuts are well solid. Have used a lot of wd40, a big bar and a ton of leverage but they won't budge. How the hell do I get them off? Would one of those little butane micro-torches help to heat up the nut/bolt :confused:

Hi all, my car seems to idle about 2000rpm when cold. it also takes a long time to drop down to 1000rpm when warm and never goes below. is this normal? anybody got any ideas? its a 1990 n/a manual. alex.

New tyres needed. Fronts are pretty new but rears are close to legal limit and I wouldn't chance any high speed action on them. Can anyone point me in the direction of decently priced performance tyres? I'm based in the SW. Help appreciated.

hi everyone, will be buying a 300zx on the weekend and after much research i am still none the wiser about which model to go for!! twin turbo or non. i have 7k burning a hole in my back pocket and would love some advice from the pro's. which is a better car..the twin turbo monster or the normally asperated. are there definite ones to avoid...do the turbo's give trouble all the time. i really ant the turbo model ...but i don't want it to be a bank account drainer. any help from you guy's would be top notch.. thanks joe

What causes my zx to smell strongly of petrol when idling? Sometimes it really stinks.

Is there any difference at all from a manual to auto block or are they the same?

Having bought a smithy hose sets, I was planning to replace as many as possible of the vacuum hoses this weekend, and made a good start, but a few are routed into the wings (by the battery and next to the bukhead in the right-hand side), do these connect to valves etc hidden in the wings?

Split and full of water, wahts the best/chepest route to take, remove and fit lens or remove and replace with stock replica, what £ are we talking for buying parts and body shop work ?

Hi guys not bin on for a while or been driving my zed for a bit, got in her yesterday and on idle she seems to burp or splutter (best way of describing the sound) and idle drops slightly on needle!! i dont think its missfiring just a bit rough!! Anyway when i turn on the fans it seems to smouth out!! :confused: now can anyone tell me if theyve expirienced this or know whats wrong?? any help appreciated guys!!! :bow:

What are my option for changing front shocks and springs? basically ive got GAB super shocks and unknown springs that have been on the car since before the car was Imported in 97 .TBH i think they are on the way out..one side hangings lower than the other.. Anyway what should i go for bearing in mind im not too flush at the moment..lol Any anybody able to help fit these for beer money.....

my car is really pissin me off :( every now and then it starts running on 5 cylinders and sounds real lumpy (bit like a V8 if you get my drift). Power is down etc so I pull over and on tickover you can hear its not right. Ive tried tapping the coil packs - moving leads, tapping connectors to temp senders, ptu aetc all whilst running. about 2 mins later it'll just clear up for no reason, Ill be hobbling along then like that its back to normal Where should I be looking?

Anyone know where the best place to get replacement OEM front shockers from? Can only find rears on Luke's site :confused:

Hi, I have Datascan working now, but I'm not sure what the correct readings from all of the sensors should be. So it's difficult for me to check stuff out and know what’s going on. Are there any posts or documented stuff regarding this? I'd like to learn a bit about how each sensor works and affects the car. Cheers, Bart

Help please... I have wired in a new DVD Headunit, and seperate motorised screen today. The wiring was straight forward, but had to hardwire it. This new unit does not have an orange wire, which I believe is the 'Illumination' wire on most units, as with the unit I removed, but may be wrong :confused: as the wire had 'ILL' written on its tag :confused: So all is wired up, but the orange wire has no where to go, so left it unconnected. The player and screen work perfectly. Everything appeared OK, until I turned my lights on tonight. I now have no side lights, rear lights, or instrument lights (speedo cluster)..
